Disagree strongly. From what I've seen of Jed, he's at his best, and truly, ridiculously impressive, when he's in the guts and extracting. He has such awareness, evasion, and skill, and he doesn't play dissimilarly to JPK in that role (though of course JPK uses brute strength, while Lamb uses a mix of strength, agility and smarts). If he's to make it as a footballer long term, it will be in the guts.

In the forwardline, all I've ever seen is an inconsistent half-forward that tries hard but flits in and out of games, and doesn't have the pace to make up for it with defensive pressure. Basically, what Mitch Morton is at AFL level, he is at NEAFL level. He is MUCH better as a midfielder.

You might say that when he's in the midfield, he's mint, but in the forwardline, he turns to jelly....
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I'm not chewing the fat on this discussion.

Heard on the B and F night - Jed: "Why are so many older women dressed like me?"

If he played on the wing would that make him mint jelly?

At least this thread is moving faster than the actual Trade Week radio.

                How many weeks left?

This thread has affected my mind. I can't even make a U-turn without thinking of Jed. (Fun Fact: Apparently making a U-turn in NZ has a different meaning to what we have here)

I hear a few other clubs are having "a little Bo Peep" at him

He's a good footballer but tends to shank his kicks.

If we do trade him , maybe we can "pull the wool over the eyes" of another club

Or trade him to New Zealand.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

While we are all concentrating on Tippett, I wonder if the Swans have approached any fringe players from other clubs in the background ? (ala Morton, Kennedy, McGlynn types).
