Why are you being so personal about this? Are you going to write a letter of complaint because your nephew might potentially miss out on two games? Do I go around pestering everybody becasue my personal situation means that I have to miss games at certain times and days?

Honestly I wasn't having a crack at your nephew or your relationship with him. However if you think you somehow are more entitled then everybody else you can go shove that opinion you your own arse becasue frankly NOBODY HERE CARES.

Some people miss out on things always. As it was your right to express disappointment, It is my right to say that your emotion is a little misplaced given 2 games in the context of a whole season is hardly anything.

How about you show a little understanding yourself and not be so touchy.

I wish I had all your problems - I only have the option of 3 games in Canberra and they all involve GWS?

Try shoving the membership up you're clacked then, be careful with the rough edges, especially on a Friday night....

We all talk up the culture of this club and rightfully so. The Bloods are all about the team, not the individual. While it might not suit your nephew, Big Al (though my comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular, you just seemed to run with it), this is good for the club. That's the point I was trying to make here - Friday night games are good for the Sydney Swans. I wasn't trying to be controversial or get anyone's back up (I probably could have chosen my words better in my earlier post), but this is a good thing for the club and I think that outweighs any inconvenience to individual supporters. As I said previously - no game is perfect for everyone.

Swans v Hawks at ANZ indicates we're not playing the Giants twice there. Likely means our first trip to Skoda.

Now I don't live in Sydney any more it's not an issue, but I hated the Saturday afternoon and twilight games more than anything.
For those who are involved in local clubs, those ones are the impossible ones to get to.
I went to one Friday from the Hawkesbury and got there late, but that was because I had no experience in Friday traffic. If I was to do it again, I'd get there.

Spare just a minor thought for Wet Toast fans who will be drawn Thursday night and Monday night home games next year - due to EST television, they are likely to be 5.40pm starts! Another reason I'm happy to be us, not them!

So we have the Hawks twice, the Giants twice, the Cats and Blues both at home and the Saints in New Zealand. There's no game we can't win.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Fridays are a pain coming from Canberra to watch, but pretty great for TV, since I'm more often busy on a Friday.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't mind a couple of Friday nighters. I usually prefer the good old Saturday night or twilight or even Sunday arvos.

A Sydney vs Geelong and a Sydney v Carlton would be nice.

As long as the Friday night games aren't at ANZ which they probably won't be due to the footy.

I'm an Anz member and next year a swans member but if I had to choose between doggies or swans Friday night I'd go swans all day.
