I like Friday night games too. I work about 5kms from the SCG and live 60kms away so it's much easier for me to get there, then I have the whole weekend to spend with my kids (who aren't invited to Swans games! LOL ).

It makes absolutely no sense to schedule a derby at a ground that holds about 12,000 people.

It holds twice that amount, but the point is certainly valid.

Mind you, I'd like to see it all the same, tickets would be harder to get then GF tickets, but it would be an awesome atmosphere as it's a fantastic ground to watch a game, regardless of where you are seated...

I take my kids to the games too so my expectations are that there are a decent number of day and twilight games to attend. A few years back when we only had 4 day games it was a bit crook but those days seem to be behind us.

What's with releasing bits and pieces about the fixture list over the course of a couple of weeks anyway? Is it just yet another tactic from the AFL to keep the code in the media all year round?

              Probably, and it's working!

SCG capacity won't be much higher, and surely our home derby would get a larger crowd?

I don't particularly like Friday night games, as it means if I want to go I have to take time off work to get up there for it, but it is good for the club, and 2 a year is pretty reasonable if you ask me. I don't like this leaking of the fixture rubbish - just go ahead and release the whole draw. There is a big airline sale on at the moment, and several good hotel sales as well. Would have liked to take advantage of them to book a few trips for next season.

My biggest opposition to the Sunday games is the extended squad being named and an extra days worth of posts on the who's in/who's out thread.

I'm OK with Friday nights, but it makes for a @@@@ty weekend if we get beat

http://www.kangaroos.com.au/news/new...0/default.aspx looks like we're playing an early season away game in Hobart.

The $3:90 chips and better range of food is the real winner.
