I hope Adelaide don't delist Tippett before his contract expires next week. If he was free to go to a club of his choice (us), could he hold us to the terms of the contingent contract he signed with us? I still have a feeling he will end up at our club. I just don't know how it will happen.
Non-Tippett trading talk

As much as it saddens me to see players leave, none of the players who have left us were part of our future plans unless injuries played a part. I'm concerned about our depth but I suspect we're clearing some space to draft some kids/rookies and leaving some wriggle room for Tippett if that situation is sorted out. With Rohan's return, plus Lamb, Mitchell & others to come through I think the club has thought through its options and made a few calls it had to make.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

Re: Non-Tippett trading talk
No idea why some are so upset? They were all dead wood, and now the likes of Lamb, Mitchell, Lockyer all move up a step.Comment

Meredith and Gordon given the flick too. That's quite a massive clearout.
Seaby, Moore, Spangher, Dennis-Lane, Meredith, Gordon from the senior list and Heath from the rookie list.
But i wonder if we would have, even with injuries, got too many games from that group in 2013.
Gordon couldn't really hold his own this year; i thought his disposal let him down too much. And merry was dogged by injury a bit, but never really challenged for the 22.
Seabs with injury and the way Pikey seized his chances.
And Spang ,also injured for most of the year, and showing signs of his body never being 100% again.
Bulldog may still appear, maybe at PAFC where his skill may be seen to overcome his lack of speed..to say nought of his teaching skills with a devastated and immature team.
Morton seized his chances and poor TDL was the victim. Thats life in footy.
And I just hope we got value from the Heath trade.. i always felt he was developing well, altho I know he had doubters due to his lack of height down back.
Exciting days, with the Tippett still to be resolved.Comment

That's six spots so looks like we'll use the five ND picks up to 67 and pass on pick 80 something for a pick in the PSD.
I know others think we're ok but that leaves us almost no depth if Mitchell and Rohan don't come through.
Very worried myself.Comment

We may opt for only the 3 in the ND and go for a few in the PSD. Good chance our boys know what they are doing. I am interested to see if the Sandover Medalist, Sean? Mitchell (no relation to Tom) gets picked up. My brother in law who lives in Perth says he is a more than handy mature midfielder. May have been a Freo rookie at some stage. What about the ex WCE rookie who played for our reserves?Comment

Wow, 6 spots and no necessity to upgrade any rookies. Although I suspect we'll keep 1 spot available so the Tippett saga can continue.
Certainly with only one selection better than #45, Beatson is going to have to try to find more than one Alex Johnson type draft bargain this year. A big ask.Comment
