Yeah, its stunning isn't it. However we just can't take it as read that people are actually intelligent. There are unfortunately people in Australia who are humungous idiots. I follow Luke Ablett on twitter who copped a blast yesterday from a brainless twit about "joining his brother who went to the gold coast just for money". ????

Unfortunately the people of the world comprise those who live like they are intelligent human beings, and the rest of the population who let themselves down, constantly and spectacularly.

I think the mistake here is to take anything said on Bigfooty as representative of what the general population think.

I can't find the link but there was a study done recently that concluded a popular view held by uses of Twitter isn't necessarily the view held by the general population as a whole.

Unfortunately, Big Footy IS representative of the general population.

We at RWO are the exceptions.

Nothing unusual in that. Too many people still see it as something for out-there weirdos. It's actually far more mainstream than most people think. Many prominent meditators in this country don't advertise the fact that they meditate because the tabloid media and their fellow-travellers pander to people's ignorance about it. Quite a lot of AFL players and former players do it. It's a simple, natural process, not something strange or mysterious, but its impact on conditions like anxiety and depression can be massive.

With meditation you can control and channel energy to your Chacras (pressure points/nerve endings) to enhance the performance of your body. People using yoga or other forms of tantric meditation will sometimes reach a point of Kundalini. Kundalini is see as the Snake Goddess that is coiled at the bottom of the spine and when released releases energy into the body. Kundalini has been described as "a residual power of pure desire" by Nirmala Srivastava. This helps in both producing energy and having the confidence to use that energy in the way you want. If Mitch is meditating with or without Kirkie that is really good as it may help to control his anxiety.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose. If mediation works for some then all well and good. However I was told you'd go blind if you meditated too much so I'll stay away from it.

Wolfy, you have your kundalini mixed up. This is far too esoteric for a footy fan website.

However, just to correct you, kundalini is another name for energy. There are no other forms of tantric meditation. There are a number of different yoga styles for meditation and then there is tantra.

Raja yoga for example, is an open eye form of meditation that does not involve body movement. The King of yoga meditation as it has been described.

There has been quite a number of new yoga schools that have popped up where you do yoga in a heated room. I think I'd pass out.

The women's magazines will usually have an article on how "tantric sex can transform your sex life". It will if you know how to do it properly.

Meditation or relaxation as some people call it is extremely beneficial in dropping your baseline anxiety levels.

I gave up on Big Footy years ago. Don't even bother reading it now. It's for the knuckle draggers as far as I'm concerned.

Big Al that was too much mastication will make you go blind. So I just swallow my food whole these days.

Peter Filandia's old VFL team. They know how to bite a chackra when they have to. Now that gets your energy flowing.

                          Re: Mitch Morton

Maybe Mitchs anxiety could be relieved by attending a protest rally each week. He could also go to the farms and feed the chooks before a game. I hear that's relaxing.

I do feel for Mitch though, I know he feels. After 20 schooners one night I got so nervous that I rode the porcelain bus. Kindred spirits Mitch and I.
