    He's BACK.

Rohan will make his return to football in nine days when he runs out for the Swans reserves against the Giants reserves at the SCG.

Gary Rohan's horrific injury will not kill his career
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

Yippeee! Im not coming up for the Giants game, but wish Gaz all the best. Would love to see him get 6 weeks of solid football into the tank just before finals time.... would potentially be a useful man to put in the Green vest come the big games

Good Luck Gaz, go get em - can't wait to see you back in the Seniors team, making up for lost time!

FanTAStic! Might be there to see it!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

He has missed almost 1 and half seasons of football, just getting through the rest of the reserves games (6 + finals) will be tough enough.

No pace loss according to coaching staff and people I have talked to who go to open training sessions. In very good nick is the word I am getting and being brought along at a good healthy pace.

I think being so far from the Swans day to day action is a handicap for our Melbourne brothers and sisters. It makes you worry more because you can't see it happening in front of you. I felt the same way when I lived in Melbourne. I could see a certain amount of games live but no training, little or no pre-season, hardly any news and a rabidly anti Swans press.

Ugg I think he will get match fit in 2-3 games and then the rest of the games are bonus to make him even sharper. Come finals time I think he could be ripe. I predicted his return June/July and was right and now I am going to predict he will play senior footy this year.

I am not so sure of LRT or Rhyce Shaw though. LRT looks gone for the year and Rhyce almost gets there and then gets a setback.

I like your optimism Wolfy..... But I think playing high intensity finals, after an 18 month layoff and half a dozen reserves games (assuming he has no setbacks).... would be a huge ask.

Lets not forget, he's young and has only played a handful of senior games all up.

IMO, next year will be his year to comeback into the 1's and shine.

Got my mob lined up for a Gates Open attendance for this game. Want to cheer him onto the ground. Who wouldn't!

As for playing seniors this year.....tell em they're dreaming. Hasn't played anything for a year and a half. Was a newby to start with. And as much as Shawry can give him confidence, it has to come from within. You don't expect a race horse to win a race just because he is competing. You have to condition him to the exact race, and that in Gazz's case, is a way into the future. It will be fun to watch though.

Call me pessamistic but I don't think a senior recall would be part of the coaches plan. Get some ressies games into him more for the mental side of recovery and he gets a fresh start in 2014.

As Ernie said, he's only played a handful of senior games.

He will be like a prized recruit for 2014, as will AJ. Just need a good ND now to keep topping up the squad in the face of impending retirements.

If he is able to play in the GF, he will play in the GF, doing whatever it takes to get there.

I could not imagine the circumstance and what it would do to his psyche if he was forced to watch a second grand final from the sidelines if he was fit. This is the Swans premiership window, it may not happen again in his career. Try and stop him.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

No pressure, geez. Rohan, if you're reading this, this is your final opportunity. Window closing in five... four... three...

Graham johncock retired this week... Played in 4 losing prelims.. Never made a gf.

We shouldnt take for granted that we've played in 3 grand finals in the last 8 years.

Longmire said he'll get a 30min run in the ressies this week if he gets through training alright. Longmire's clearly excited about him coming back. I think he'll get a run or two in the seniors if his return goes smoothly.
