Can't tell you how happy that made me. And I simply can't speak highly enough about rhyce shaw since he came up to us. He has been a seriously good servant for this club and deserves a lot of credit for mentoring the young fellow.

Just a good news story all round

So happy he got through unscathed. Just want to see him fit and firing to be ready to go for Rd 1, 2014. Anything before that would be a bonus.

I salivate at the thought of both he and Jetta fully fit and firing in the same 22.

I saw the game on Sunday and he was pretty fit. He ran beautifully, got involved and took a couple of very good marks. He will probably play a whole game next week with limited time on the field. He played 40 mins he will probably play an hour or more next week. I don't see a problem with him being match fit in the next 4 weeks and vying for a posie in the seniors the way he is going with a little luck.

With the way our injury toll is mounting , we may have no choice but to play him in three or four weeks time.

He looked very good. The little kicks to advantage, the run, bounce, kick - a quality 70m player.

And, I'm biased, but has the tools to be the best HFF in the comp...and the best FF if we didn't have Tippo.

3 goals in his sacking game back. Anyone know how much game time he had? Shaw too for that matter.

I'd love to see him out there too, I'm just a bit worried about all the underdone players that are coming back in. I wish their re-entry could have been phased in over a few more games rather than jamming it into the last month of home and away and even some finals which are so crucial. I guess you have to look at the short term v long term.. IF we make grand final, it'll probably be good to have all the starting 22 in. But having so many underdone players could jeopardise that. tbh the only player I'd be comfortable with coming back in over the next month is Goodes, Sam just yet hasn't got the confidence to be CHF or FF and he is definitely a confidence player, Jetta's form has been patchy and LRT sounds really far back. It's hard to say who would be able to contribute the most. I think Tippo has pushed out Morton, Goodesy would have to play forward with Bolton primarily with Benny and preferably Lamb as well up forward. Hopefully the mids pick their game up for the rest of the season. In an ideal world, Shaw would have come back a month ago, Benny should find some form next week but I would loathe to introduce another recently injured player until next week or the week after, allowing Shaw and McGlynn to be full contributors to the team.
