"Nick of Adelaide, if Tippett is such a zombie, why are you still so sore at losing him? By the way, with Tippett and Reid, White will be hard placed to get a game in our seniors. You can have him for Dangerfield and a second round draft pick!"

What makes it sweeter? Crows don't get a second round this year. They would have to trade for it.

There is talk that Mummy fractured his cheek bone in his clash with Petrenko.

I noticed him cursing after the incident.

        Anyone know any more?

One of THE best wins I have seen in 17 years of following the Swans.
They played like a pack of wolves.

ROK was incredible : aren't you supposed to be taking it a bit easier at 33?!
I am struggling to recall the times he WASN'T at the fall of the ball.
He set the standard for tackling very early , when that is just what we needed.
Disposal very good , too - only sad he could not cap it with a goal.
Looking at the "raw" stats , the only areas where we had a big + differential were I50's and tackles - he was a huge factor there.

Rampe's best game thus far ? I think so. How refreshing not to hear the commentators coming out with the old "he needs a couple of pre-seasons in the gym" cliche. He's got shoulders like Sherrins !

Nice games from the three - White , Morton and Android - who are fighting to get into our best 22.
White's chase on Smith for his 3rd goal was a highlight . Morton's soccered goal , too - I just knew he would do that , though I expected he'd try it with his left foot.

This was a win on a day when Goodesy was quiet , JPK (despite his stats) was not at his very best and we did not need Mummy or Pykey to help out with goalkicking.Maybe I'm greedy , maybe we will have a day soon when we drop off , but on this evidence , it looks like we can improve even more.

Credit to the coaching staff , too : all the boys on the park contributed , but there must be an awful lot of planning to get a win like that.
I wonder if a struggling club may approach Tudor , Dew , Blakey or Playfair.....but never mind , that's not a worry for this season.
I'm just going to enjoy the ride !

Insanely good match by us. Seriously, to have to drop any of those guys seems almost ridiculous. Don't rip my head off for this, but is it possible that Shaw and LRT, who are still indefinite weeks away, may take too long to find their form again, especially given there are guys already tearing it up in perfect sync with the team?

I wonder whether Tippett will replace Mumford as the Ruckman; perhaps an easier way for him to get back into the game and its speed

Hey good point bloodthirsty. But it may be a fitness issue before their form is considered. They will need at least 3-4 weeks running to be in the sort of shape required. If my maths is half ok that puts them both available somewhere near round 17-19 ish

That's what the media are saying - e.g. The Age - but haven't seen a statement from the club yet.

Yesterday I saw a trailer for this rather crappy looking film starring Brad Pitt

However, I could see parallels between the way the zombie's attack and our style of play. Could Hannebery, Parker, Kennedy, Jack and co be infected?

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

As an aside, the Ressie Watchers can hear voice from the ground when they are playing and we often pick up what the players call each other. I spent a week or so wondering who Ray could be. It was Drey - also, did anyone else pick up when they showed a shot of him on the pine, that he looked like he was chewing gum? That's what Spida did, no mouthguard, just chewie. I see such stupid stuff.

Anyone that has watched us the last two weeks knows how good we are going - it was bound that someone would get a belting in there.
Well the odds had the line at 12, I believe....so, yeah 77 points is a surprise. :-)

                          Just watched the 1st qtr.
How Adelaide were not in front at the first change is beyond me. They had ALL the play.

Have just seen the post of the year from BF Adelaide site during game....."This is like seeing your supermodel ex girlfriend getting double teamed by a fat guy and john holmes

After years of supporting the gutsy team that never gave up but was always under-rated, it's kinda weird to be supporting the glamour super-slick team that is smashing all before them. I've done the only thing I could do in the circumstances - I've upgraded to the Premiership Club!

Wish we were playing Hawthorn next weekend and Geelong the week after (but in terms of a perfect preparation for September, we are blessed to be playing late in the H&A season).
