Well I am just a wee bit disappointed we didn't go on to win it by 100 points.

But wowee, those first three quarters were absolutely superb. We are such a joy to watch when on song - we make teams look very ordinary. Adelaide tried hard but had nothing!

It will take an almighty good team to beat us when it comes to the right end of the season, and I have little doubt if someone does, then they'll probably lift the Premiership trophy.

Our last three weeks after the Freo meltdown have been sensational!

What a performance and by gee I love our team

What a performance,Tom Mitchell with 31 and 10 tackles [given 2 votes on 3aw in his second game,no reserves ever again for Tom] behind only ROK for the game,Jesse presenting well,Everitt looking alot more confident and pretty much the whole team having a hand in a great win.Possibly Rampe's best game too.So many great efforts and have now set ourselves up for top 4 perfectly at the break, enjoy it boys its well deserved.

Hannas BOG. Mitchell, ROK, Parker & Joey all brilliant in the midfield. Drey played a blinder, 12 possies in the second/third can't remember which. Mitch Magic is alive after all. Jesse did the hard things then did the brilliant. Macca best decision maker in AFL by far. Mal magic. Every player not only played their role they did more. They took footy to another level. They took skills to such a high level all other coaches are going to be looking at this and saying 'WOW'. Delivery was super even if the percentages only say 71%, we got so much contested ball that some of our disposal was going to be blocked. But we motored on and eventually got the ball out.

This is the best I have seen a team play for many years. The opposition is not shoddy just naive and brash. We had them covered everywhere. A pity we ran out of legs in the last. I said some weeks ago that we had to start playing as though our lives depended on it. We are now. For so much of this season we have been really slack and lacked application and seemingly lacked desire but the last three weeks we have played like a team hungry for success. Hungry for two in a row.

Well done John Longmire and all the coaching staff because until after the Fremantle game we looked pretty ordinary. but the Pies game started something new, even bigger than last year. I think it had something to do with the players who didn't taste success last year and their desire to play in the biggest game of all. How well has Benny been all year? Drey has been a revelation, Rampe too. Jesse came in today and played a blinder, he really wants this. Tommy M is just sensational and soooo hungry. But the older players are playing like they really want another one too now. All year ROK, Kizza & Macca were just wonderful now everyone is in on the act.

To the aliens who body snatch White and then play the game themselves, how much to do this every week??
                    No seriously, how much???

I was slightly astounded by this comment on the AFL article:

THE SYDNEY Swans' premiership defence stepped up a level on Saturday night with a surprise 77-point decimation of Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

Anyone that has watched us the last two weeks knows how good we are going - it was bound that someone would get a belting in there.

They obviously mean the margin is surprising, I certainly didn't expect a 77 point win...what a performance! We have hit our straps now and can have a big 2nd half of the year with KT. My hopes of back to back increased heaps after today.

I'm just so impressed by how many of the team can step up when others have relatively quiet games. Both Kennedy and Goodes were both a little below their usual standard but it had little impact. Glad for everitt and Jesse shows what a little confidence can do for a player.

I have to admit, I was surprised. I thought that without Jetta and Reid we would be vulnerable, and that Adelaide would prove a real challenge on their home turf.
How very wrong I was. They put in the most complete performance I have seen from a Sydney team, full stop. There were no passengers. The tackling pressure and denial of space to every Crow possession was astounding. Their skills under pressure were sublime. The effort and endurance to outrun and get numbers to every contest was inspiring.
I echo the previous poster's assertion that there is a palpable hunger in our team that has grown over the last few weeks. Throw in Tippett and a few more refreshed, returning premiership players, and our second half draw that is soft to start then hardens up towards September looks very promising indeed.
Enjoy the bye, Bloods, and please return to Football Park and repeat the dose on Port Adelaide.
