Stats show that, despite his obvious quality, Hawthorn have a very good record when Franklin doesn't play. I'm sure our coaching staff are aware of that.

If you mean the cheer squad, they are at the Punt Rd end. If you mean Swans only bays, I'm not so sure the bays are as well defined as supporter specific in an early final as they are in the GF...

Stats also show that most of the teams they've beaten without Franklin have been very poor sides.

When I bought my tickets one of the options was to select seat "in the Sydney allocation". My tickets are near the forward pocket, at ground level at the Punt Road end diagonally opposite the MCG members. (If that makes any sense!) If you imagine the MCG as a clock face with the Punt Road goals at 12 o'clock, my seats would be at about 1.30 at ground level.

AFL says Cyril left training early. Maybe the ankle isn't right yet. If no Cyril who does Nick play on?

When Cyril didn't play last year, Smooch went to Bruest and kept him virtually kickless. Probably more the same as well as keeping an eye on Puopolo when he sneaks forward.

Cyril will play. Don't want him too. But he will.

Stats also show they have never won a final without franklin

Look forward to watching Gaz run down Cyril , for a HTB....that would be poetry.

Absolutely! but it'll be no use if they don't have an impact on the game. Rohan began to have a real impact last week, but we need him getting more of the ball. And Jetta just needs to get on there, go hard and get some ball. I like the thought of his and his pace, coming on against tired legs, with the game in the balance late in the third or early in the fourth quarter.

Bring on the game tomorrow, I got a feeling we are going to roll the Dawkies!

Rohan I thought was massively improved over last week. He's still finding form and fitness and definitely needs to be retained.

Bird being dropped is a massive call - too big to be true in my book.

I didn't see the reserves, but I can't imagine us risking Jetta in such a big game after such a long absence and so-so for before that. Only Goodes (or possibly LRT) would get a pass like that.

Thought Jesse went missing a bit in the second half. The ball seemed to come out of the forward line too easily, but there's not much can be done about that other than bringing in Tippett.
Jesse went missing in the second half because they were triple teaming him and filling the space so he had nowhere to lead. Hard to be the only tall leading target, ask Cloke. He did compete well though and brought the ball to ground on several occasions that turned into goals. We can't allow them to have an extra in defence. The place we were killed in the last was not in our forward line it was in the middle. Again we were carved up by Burgoine, something that happened in the corresponding game last year. We only just lost but if we stop Burgoine's influence out of the centre square we will win.

They go head hunting Mal and have done so in the latter part of the season. The umpires have been pretty slack at picking up some of the more damaging players being head hunted in the second half of the season. Guerra gets it for the Hawks too.
