Changes for the Prelim Final v Fremantle

I didn't really dislike Hawthorn until round 22 last year. I flew up to Sydney for that game (planned to be at Jude's 300th but injury cruelled that scheme although I was there for the prelim too). Leaving the ground after a great effort from our boys that just fell apart in the last five minutes, I was disgusted by the arrogance, spitefulness and self-righteousness of their travelling fans.

It was not just a handful of them but wave after wave of drunk and mean people getting in the faces of myself and teenage daughter saying "Swans suck" and "Hawks rule" type crap. Unprecedented bad form from fans in my long football attending experience.

It was the same on Grand Final day until the final siren blew.

Collingwood fans and Adelaide fans had set the benchmark for me in bad taste prior to this but Hawthorn took it to a whole new level.

They are my No.1 team to hate at the moment. So I hope whoever wins tonight beats them by a point next Saturday. Preferably us.

Glad I'm not alone-first final I've missed in 10 years and I've been sulking all day-kicking myself for not going.

Positive fact: We were hailed as premiership favourites when we beat Adelaide earlier in the year, tonight's team has the same players except for Mitchell & Morton for Biggs and Cunningham and Jetta for Goodes. Gotta start believing again.

I was cycling around on the country roads of Northern Thailand listening to SEN on internet radio (so far away, yet so close). They had the usual cast of Robert Walls, Dermie and Robbo, all Swans haters. Not only didn't they think the Swans had a chance tonight, but they were already writing them off for top 4 next year. Most of the talk was about the Freo-Hawthorn GF next week.

I would have been satisfied with the Swans making the top 4 this year given the bad run with injuries, but now I really want to win, just to show those twits a thing or two.

It's a much bigger miracle that a moron like Mark Robinson still has a job than if the Swans would go on to win 10 consecutive Grand Finals.
