I would have preferred recruiting a player who is a half-decent kick for goal. But that's just me.My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

I hope that's the worst game he plays in R&W. He's set the bar pretty low.The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Buddy was far from our worst yesterday, his tackling and pressure were right up there. The delivery to him was appalling for the most part.Comment

Suggestions that the players aren't glad to have him on board are fanciful as far as I am concerned. Their delight when he kicked his goal was evident, and they were trying to bring him into the game whenever they could, often when another option would have been better.Comment

They got around massively after his big chase down tackle just before half time , that was my one highlight of the afternoonComment

bingo - well said - give the guy a break - he was one of the better performers - our midfield turned to clay - and the short passing to players who were well marked was crazy - still it was only round 1 - it will get better.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Plus he had Phil 'the octopus' Smith literally wrapped around him for much of the game.

Buddy?s trillion dollar contract aside, I think your concluding point captures the essence of my concerns. I still harbour doubts about how successfully the Tippett, Franklin experiments will work. As someone has mentioned elsewhere, our form since mid last season has been patchy. (8.5 wins from the first 11 games last year, 8 from the final 14, then a loss in Round 1, 2014). Sure, there was a raft of injuries last year, but this also aligned with Tippett?s (enforced) late inclusion. Tippett did a fine job, however our delivery into the forward line became much more predictable, as was also the case on Saturday with our delivery to Franklin. It was also the case with Baz and Plugger, however Plugger was such a unique and dominant player we could get away with it.It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
