I think you mean Malceski. But I'm not sure what Buddy did to Mal can even be compared to what Lockett did to CavenComment

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

More fuel on the fire of speculation that player unrest at the Swans is high - NOT. News of another Swan extending his tenure. That brings it to four since the signing of Buddy. I don't think any of us thought McVeigh was going anywhere, but confirmation of his re-commitment is good to read, regardless.
New deal to make Jarrad McVeigh a Swan for life - AFL.com.au
He is not blessed with the pace of a Brent Harvey! People on this forum have been critical of ROK's lack of pace as a 33 year old!
McVeigh will turn 32 during 2017! Do people feel that he will still be able to contribute in 2017, with his leg speed, in light of the ROK perceived issues with leg speed?Comment

McVeigh is an excellent player!

Can't compare ROK to McVeigh. McVeigh's foot skills are far superior to O'Keefe's so he'll still be valuable if he loses a yard if pace.Comment

Let's all take a deep breath. The Melbourne based football media have been hysterical about Buddy's move to our club since they found out the deal was going ahead. They were filthy about the fact that none of them had heard anything about the biggest deal in football history until the Giants spat the dummy and told the football world that he wanted to play for us.
Consider these key points:
1. Buddy came to us outlining his desire to play for the Swans.
2. The club had twelve months to work on this deal and CONSIDER whether it was a good idea to recruit him.
3. The club have very rarely made a bad decision over the past ten years.
4. There has not been a single word to come out of the club about any issues relating to Buddy or any other player's behaviour.
5. Dan Hannebery's only fault is that he can't drive (This IS the same guy that we all fell in love with after the 2012 flag)
6. Why on earth would the club be concerned about any of our players being friends with wait for it??a TEAM MATE?????
6. All of our key players are re-signing with the club on relatively long term deals (no media coverage of these re-signings, as they clearly contradict the saturation of 'disharmony within the ranks' stories)
7. This has all been a massive overreaction to one bad performance
8. It will all work out. We will have a record club membership this year, we will win another flag in the next 3 years and Buddy will win many big games for us. Enjoy the panic coming out of Melbourne and be patient with our team.Comment

I fear that by 2017, McVeigh would be slower and may be struggling for a spot in the senior team, as the coaches play younger quicker players! Just look at what is happening this year to ROK!Comment

McVeigh will only be 32 in May of 2017, which is okay for a final year, if it is in fact his final year. Perhaps he will be depth player by that time, as ROK seems to be at age 33, at least for the start of the year.Comment

Ted was fine after his bump. Cavo was being fed intravenously followed by a well mushed, soft food diet for a month because his jaw didn't work. Buddy's was a bump that occurs several times a season. The severity of Plugger's effort occurs every several seasons.
Glad both Buddy & Plugger joined us tho. Have to see if we can get Nic Nat to take one of our guys out in round 16 as part of our recruiting strategyComment
