I wonder how many different ways we can spell Derrickx, Derycks, Derricks, etc...... I think I will just call him The Big D.

Whenever I see anything written about the Big D, it always makes me think of the boxer Dedrick Tatum from the Simpsons!

              Big D ?! He's not a brand of peanuts , y'know , Primmy !

It's gotta be something stereotypically Aussie (even though the name is Dutch): Number 19 , I dub thee DEZZA !

Don't forget the incident with ROK. ROK had the ball on the 50, and when he centered it to buddy, he deliberately kicked it so
buddy had to extend his arms when marking, instead of hitting him on the chest. Clearly something between those two.

It might cause some confusion, I understand Horse also goes by that name.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I know i'm being picky but didn't he shave it off before the game? If shaving it off prompted a return to form maybe Mal and Shaw should follow suit.

After the game, I think it was after the game, Buddy said he trimmed the beard after Shaw and Eski had already done it. I think it was when he was talking with Mooney???

I heard a rumor that at Melbourne, so few of their guys have actually played in a winning side in recent memory, that Roosey is having their lap pool filled with Gatorade & they're just all gunna jump in at the same time ... it was easier than the couple of guys who have actually played in a winning side trying to splash the 20 others with just two bottles between them

Let's never forget the state of the Swans of on-field performances in the early 90s. I believe the Swans last something like 24 home and away games in a row.

They were as poor as Melbourne are now. The Swans turned things around, and I hope Melbourne can do the same, with the help of elite football people like Paul Roos and Peter Jackson.

26 and they beat Melbourne to break it - was a good day for the 3000 or so of us at the SCG that day.....

Not such a good night for all of us though. Celebrated long into the night at the nominated after-match venue at the time, Moore Park Bowling Club. Got out of a cab in the wee hours and my mate got the staggers up (as you do) and rammed head first into his brick front fence. We hopped back into the cab and was in StVincents emergency department until 6am.

Still had a smile on our faces however...lol
