Great to see Zak get his debut. I know he's going to be a beauty. Has more tools than his brother and just as gutsy. I heard Nathan Jones on a radio interview recently. Sounds like a terrific person; real class. I think it runs in the family.
Also good to see Nanko and Membrey listed as emergencies. We know Horse is not one to take too many risks in one week, so no surprise that we only had one debutante, but hopeful that Nanko and Membrey will get their chance sooner rather than later.
Whatever criticism I may have heaped on Tom D, you have to wonder what Richmond were thinking delisting Tom and then trading pick 28 for someone worse in Shaun Hampson. They could have picked up a great ruck prospect in either Rory Lobb (29) or our Toby Nankervis. I don't think Tom will take the honours of worst ruckman on the ground tomorrow.Last edited by Ludwig; 19 June 2014, 06:58 PM.Comment

Well done , young man ! Ballsy decision by Horse , when he could have taken some 'safe' , softer option. Richmond are not going too well , but they are talented and , on their own turf , cannot be underestimated. So , Zak - play your guts out , cos we don't do passengers !Comment

If the conditions are wet and slippery I think they will have to omit either Pyke or Tom D. This may allow Rohan a chance to come back in.
Like the selection of Zak Jones. Another likely midfield type. I wonder if he would get a full game.
I think Daniel Robinson would have been really close, but they wanted to keep the Rookie upgrade up theirs sleeves.Comment

His current form may not match the best on his highlight reel, but there are two qualities we need him to provide for this match: he can run, and he knows how to tackle. The lack of these items has led to our unravelling against Richmond in a couple of recent matches. If Brandon does his job, we are that much closer to a good win. A goal or two (something else he knows how to do) would be a nice bonus. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team.
