ROK is the logical choice because he's an inside player and accumulator like Hanna, though not such an outside player. But Horse spoke earlier this year that a lesson from last year was to put more games into young players to provide depth. Plus, we haven't blooded any players this year apart from Jake (right?), so maybe they will take a punt on a new kid. Membrey is my preferred option because he's a well-tattoed forward in the no.1 jumper but we seem to have three or four midfielders on the cusp.
ROhan is the interesting one though. Do keep him as a tallish forward and drop Tom?

I think DerrickX is cooked, last two weeks he's been unable to jump at the centre bounce.
Paying the price for playing only one ruck?

I know Richmond played with a bit of spunk last week, but their situation regarding personnel is a lot worse than ours. They are also coming back from the notorious long road trip to Perth.

Vickery is suspended and Ben Griffiths and Asbury are both injured. So they are lacking tall options both forward and back and will have a difficult time contending with our tall forwards, especially Goodes and Reid, who will probably get marked by Dea and Bachelor, both shorter and struggling to hold spots in the side.

Richmond will likely be forced to keep Hampson in the side for lack of another option as a 2nd ruck. Maric is slowly working his way back from injury. Hampson doesn't need to be defended more than 20 out from goal, and even then it may not matter. He is more useless than Derickx. The only difference between them is Megan Gale, and Derickx can kick. So Reiwoldt can be double teamed as much as we like, which is likely to make him lose his cool and trigger a mental collapse in the side. .

They are also missing 2 key mids in Jackson and Grigg.

Only a lack of interest should keep us from racking up a big win.

We should play 2 ruckmen to keep them honest in the ruck contests and allow Reid to do his thing around the ground. He probably will not be need to play defence. The second ruckman playing forward will tie up Troy Chaplin, Rance will take Buddy (good luck), and that will free up Goodes and Reid for favourable mismatches. Perfect opportunity for Nankervis to come in. For me it's a no brainer.

As Liz mentioned, Membrey is an option up forward which would allow Jack and Macca to pick up the slack due to Hanners' injury. He will likely get Morris, which would be real test for his introduction to senior footy.

Pyke played in the reserves and got 18 disposals and 48 hitouts. Nanko got the other 2 HOs. ROK got 33 disposals and 8 tackles.

The match was played at the MCG.

I'm guessing that Pykes reserves effort will see him in at the expense of Tom D - he would be hopefully able to play out the game with help from Sam's relief.

Geez I'd like to see Membrey have a run - whilst I don't expect the world from him I would hope the expanses of the MCG would suit him. Hope he's got the tank.

Gerard Whateley isn't even on 3AW. He's on the ABC.

Great. Membrey can relieve Pike at the end of quarters.

It was Gerard Healy who said he had the inside word that Jones will play.

That must be his Sydney connection speaking. Very Interesting. Also interesting was that Matt Cameron in the injury update indicated that mcglynn should be okay to play this week so that would mean bj or Rohan will be dropped.

Edit. Reading it again I think he meant another week for mcglynn
