More classic bully behaviour from Eddie - "poor me this is taking a terrible toll on me".

I hope the purported Holden review of their sponsorship this week at least gave him a fright.

Yeah i agree. I was in no way defending McGuire just stating the reasons why he has a teflon coat.

Aww, it's okay. I'm sure he'll be using his time productively. Championing women's rights? Ending global poverty? Or if he wants a real challenge: finding a friend for Sam Newman.

If the AFL had stood up to Mcguire and sanctioned him, we could have all moved on.

One think i will say to kilroy. The AFL need eddie, but eddie needs the AFL more.

Read Mick Malthouse has stood up for Eddie.
Not surprising seeing he is fronting the show 'The Recruit' On Eddie Mcquire's media network.

                Walking with dinosaurs.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I heard that Eddie already had a 3 week vacation break scheduled starting next Monday and he's off on a Mediterranean yacht cruise with a bunch of other rich people (for real).

I'm trying to come up with some reason the AFL might need Eddie, but I'm at a loss. All the functions he serves are negative ones. Perhaps the AFL's speechwriter in charge of hollow excuses would lose her job.

And Eddie doesn't really need the AFL, except a an ego inflater, but even that's not working well lately. He still has loads of business interests outside the AFL. He could even retire, he's a multi-millionaire. He could be a retired fat old rich man, (just like me, except for the rich part).

A good start in downsizing Eddie would be to stop him calling games. I say he is the worst football caller by a country mile. Why do media outlets use him? Inaccurate, false excitement, terrible tonal qualities, and of course his difficult to disguise bias.

For someone who keeps the mods quite busy behind the scenes, that's a pretty rich - and I'll go as far as saying selfish - comment to make. The mods invest a lot of effort into maintaining a steady ship Barry, as you should know yourself.

No, you said they are dictators. Which, on almost every level, is considered to be "bad".
