I think we caught wind of it, because in the reserves game against NT Thunder all of our players, except Biggs and ROK, were clearly tanking so not to draw attention of nasty out of state recruiters.

Now that Heeney is a lock for the Brownlow, we have to do everything we can to keep our local boys at home. Whatever it takes, as they say. Abe Davis made sure to miss his 2 shots on goal. Pat Mitchell already had his regulation 5 disposals by halftime (the scorers must have been bribed), so we had to sub him off, else he might come to the attention of the recruiters when he comes out of contract next year. I think Tom Derickx is him mentor.
Superb. I love a great conspiracy theory. Please can we make sure the Gatorade girl tanks as well, can't stand the thought of her being a trade target. She needs to be mentored to make some unforced dropping of the drinks.

Reid has almost been playing Goodes roving role of years past. Can Goodesy play that role this week? If yes, can Membrey come in and play third fwd?

Scratch that, Goodes won't or can't ruck.

Yeah, Goodes is playing the permanent resting forward position. Reid has been playing the LRT full-monty swingman role, which makes him hard to replace, even by LRT.

If Shaw comes back, Rohan might have to be the swingman. He can take a mark.

But who rucks? Could Walsh come in for that role? I think I would prefer the Hyphen at this point of the year.

Walsh and LRT are not the future and expect both to be off the list next year.

Would rather see a debut by someone who can ruck plus be another fwd option. Ressie watchers please supply a name.

I would too. Nankervis or Naismith could cover a ruck/forward role but we would be missing the tall defensive option that Reid brings. Also forward defensive pressure would be weakened. The fact that Tippett can't ruck is proving troublesome. Ludwig has proposed recently that maybe a midfielder could provide ruck coverage when Pyke resting. Could be an option if Reid is out.

                    Laidler out. Shaw in.

Exactly as I called it in the very first post of the thread

Kinda surprised laids dropped. Bombers have gone tall, I think bell chambers was subbed out and subsequently dropped last time we played them?

Naismith an emergency. When was he upgraded from the rookie list?

Yeah good call. Unfortunately for Laidler, he's no good as a sub or rotation player. He's either in or out.

Given Rampe's form and Rohan now playing back...His most likely way back will be via an injury.

Hadn't thought about the Goodes v Fletcher match up....Hope it happens, would be fun to watch.

Must have been. Couldn't be listed as an emergency otherwise. Unless this is a typo for Nankervis.

Oh no! Razor Ray is umpiring our match. Also Naismith is listed as an emergency on AFL team list as well as on Swans site so he must have been upgraded with Alir on LTI list.
