I have to watch the monitors at the ground if we have seating. The only day I saw most of the game was when we stayed in the bar to watch it.

Enough of you @@@@ about Eastern Suburbs latte sipping twats too. I live in the inner city and have never had a soy latte, hate soy milk. The people I go to footy with come from all parts and will go to every Swans match. We just get the @@@@s that Rwed Zone Members are treated like @@@@ at ANZ. We can;t even see the whole game. Not like that at SCG. We get good viewing & great facilities there and generally the ground doesn't rise up to eat the players there.
Brilliant post Wolfie and as a fellow Red Zoner, totally agree with every word

Unfortunately there is a game of League there this Thursday night.

So the stands will be on the wings until Friday.

So you can bet the wings, if not the whole surface, will be all ripped up, uneven, and covered in sand for our game.

I'd be telling our players to be very careful running and bouncing, particually down the wings.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Who would have thought that a major afl stadium development in sydney.. a roof no less, creates so much whinging.

            The dark side of RWO.

And for the clowns complaining about red zone tickets at ANZ.... heres an idea, dont go to the red zone.?

The SCG is first and foremost a cricket ground. Never f I rget that. They would screw the swams at the drop of a hat.

Give up excellent seats at the SCG for the majority of the season for passable seats 3 games a year?

              Brilliant.

Should I also buy twitter stock?

Got off the plane 9 hours later. I've been up and down every street, but no ANZ stadium. I know I'm must be close, because everyone looks Asian. I had bacon and eggs on wholewheat toast and a great latte for $2.40 (The idiot who printed the menu must have put the decimal point in the wrong place). The Pies beat us by 4 points. Travis kicked 6. Glad I missed it.

Gotta hit the road again if I'm gunna catch the Tiges game.

Yep. A lesson to all. Just shows what can happen when you cross the Anzac bridge. The Far Far Western Suburbs can be very exotic. Almost as many Thai restaurants here as Neutral Bay.

It's always good to have a dress rehearsal for finals like we are this week. This is especially handy when you're playing at the ground on which you'll be playing your finals. As we are forced to play our finals away from home, this week's match will be particularly helpful.

Play the ball, not the man barry. Noone is a clown because they are complaining about the red zone at anz.

The red zone at anz is terrible - but for many, but red zone membership is the most affordable and reasonable membership and gives access to very good seats at the scg.
Not everyone has thousands of $$$$ to spend on premium memberships packages like the anz stadium membership.

Try leaving the comfort of your fancy seats for 5 minutes and go sit in the red zone area, and maybe you'll be able to comprehend why plenty of us dont like watching games at anz. There is no rule saying everyone must love anz stadium like you do...

That is not good news about there being a game there tonight - hope the weather is good before saturday, and most importantly, we get no injuries on saturday due to the condition of the ground.

Sounds good. Would have to be gluten free, fair trade and organic though to reel me in.

If someone is a Red Zone member then they sit in the Red Zone, simple as that, like it or not. I happen to not like it at Stadium Aust but I am a Red Zone Swans member so I sit in the Red Zone, an area that I enjoy at the SCG but detest immensely at Homebush. You have a right to be a Stadium Aust member, I have a right to be a Red Zone member and feel your posts regarding membership levels to be somewhat elitist.

You like Stadium Aust that's fine, it is your prerogative, but stop bagging Swans members that don't like it, don't feel it is a home ground and complain about the view. From what I can gather you have chosen to be a Stadium Aust member as you follow a range of sports but to many, myself included, that would be a complete and utter waste of money as the only events I attend there are Swans games and since I am a Swans member why on earth would I bother getting Stadium Aust membership?

I think the red zone whining is missing the point of the original post.

A roof will make many of the red-zone issues at ANZ disappear. Greater atmosphere, Greater noise, greater comfort.

An AFL ground with a roof in Sydney is a thing to be celebrated. Can you imagine the SCG Trust ever approving a roof? Heaven forbid. The SCG is a cricket ground first and foremost. And cricket grounds dont have roofs.

Just like Etihad? Give me the MCG every time. In fact I wouldn't travel to Melbourne to go to a game at Etihad.
