      Say more.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

            Maybe I'm a realist.

More players than not don't hit the heights of been great players, and your suggesting we have 2 300+ gamers on our hands, plus another couple of key players potentially all coming in a couple of season. You may be right, and I'll be the first to give you kudos if that is the case. But not a single one of them are one our list yet.

As for Lloyd, I hope we are moving to shore him up very shortly. His composure is absolutely a1+ - a gem of a player potentially.

We agree on Lloyd. You Beauty. I loved that passage where he took that strong mark out in front off a stinging pass, looked to his right and found a running McVeigh. That resulted in a goal for Tippett.

We get a look at Heeney, Mills and Hewitt tomorrow in the reserves game.

If we win through to the reserves Grand Final we have to play Aspley. We can only have 13 listed players against Aspley.

If that were to occur I would l love the Swans to play Hewitt, Heeney, Mills and Mitchell as the main midfielders against Aspley. It will tell us a little more about the future.

Progressives like HL, AG and me feel strongly enough about injustice and unfairness in this world that we are prepared to risk controversy if it means making things better for all. It is the opposite of screaming "Me, Me, Me."

It is amazing that white, heterosexual males like yourself (I'm going out on a limb here!) start to scream and make personal attacks the minute anyone...especially someone of colour, takes a stand against unfairness or injustice.

Anyone would think that you like things just the way they are with all your privileges built into the system forever...oh hang on - you would like to have Mitch Robinson at our club. A drunkard, a liar and a thug. Really????

Admit it - if you attend Swans matches without your colours on you boo Adam Goodes every time he touches the ball.
Well that came out of nowhere, you couldn't be more wrong but I'm not going to waste my time dignifying it with a response (boo-ing Adam Goodes...really?). I'm hoping you'd had a couple of drinks and that's the main reason behind this post. Good on you for being passionate about what you believe in but that was out of line.

Had me doubting my ability to communicate correctly. However the phrase "off of" has a long history, which, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, stretches back roughly 500 years. If you want to consider it to be "wrong", then it certainly has a lot of staying power.

Hey Sharp and CD? The party is getting a little out of hand. Perhaps you both should step outside and settle your differences? We are all Swans fans...remember? This thread is about player trading recruiting perhaps we should keep it there. IMHO.

I've read that Mitch Clarke wants to play AFL football in 2015.

I think the Swans should not give Clarke any consideration.

He is more of a forward than a ruckman and his body is very injury prone. That does not even consider the other challenges he has been having.

I would prefer a genuine ruckman.

Paddy Ryder is still the one.

I still doubt we will chase a ruckman at all. Naismith today in the ressies showed he has a lot of potential - he was great and dominated the ruck all day.

Hmmm ... glad my girlfriend doesn't post on RWO! She says "off of" (apparently phonetically pronounced "off've" in her world) all the time, much to my chagrin, at my misconceived perception of her butchering of the English vernacular

He played his best footy in the ruck. Was nearly All Australian a few years back IIRC. Never been much of a forward IMO. Handy, but certainly not worth the paycheck he was getting. His best season as a permanent forward he only kicked 30 odd goals I think. Hardly dominant. I wouldn't be chasing him regardless, seems injury prone. I can't see how we could afford a paddy Ryder honestly, and I don't think I could bear the outcry.
