Because I thought Pelchen was the list manager and him not being there may change who gets picked.

The Geelong version of Mitch Brown played mainly forward when given an opportunity at AFL level but almost exclusively in defence in the VFL...similar to Luke Thompson I think he could be very valuable KPD depth/insurance.

Interesting. I imagine he will get picked up some where and the swans will be one team to have a look.

It's interesting that the Bulldogs have used Boyd and Biggs in their print ad for membership sales. I very much doubt that their supporters would know who Biggs is!

Purely for big man depth, these are some SFAs (Sydney-allowed Free Agents):

            Ruck:
            Brent Renouf: 200cm, 102kg.
            Angus Graham: 201cm, 106kg.

            Key Position:
Mitch Brown: 196cm, 93kg. (as stated)
            Shaun McKernan: 196cm, 99kg.

Luke Thompson is a little on the light side, being 194cm and 88kg.

One of those blokes is surely worth a punt at.

I can't help being amused at the terminology for players we are allowed to acquire. SFA? That may well be what the AFL Commission thought ...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I reckon Shaun McKernan is our man.

There is a St Kilda player who is avaliable... right at the peak age group.

                    Trent Dennis-Lane.

Imagine his run and carry off half back.

Well, we do need a new Hyphen to replace the irreplaceable LRT.

Scottee I look at as many games as I can both live and on the feed. I know he has put on weight in the gym but still slightly built by AFL standards. He will fill out again this year. He only turns 19 in December. But you are right he has filled out a bit but he came from a very slight base only being 17 when drafted.

McKernan is not up to AFL. He played a few good games & that was it. Always in the forward line. We need another tall forward like a hole in the head. By the way if Adelaide, who couldn't make the eight are delisting them then should we take them on? Don't know about that. Maybe if they nominate for the Rookie draft and come by that road. But on the list, me thinks no, none of those.

Considering our history with taking average players from other clubs and turning them into good or great players, the list of delisted free agents this year makes more for pretty decent reading . Not saying these blokes are great but all have a decent amount of potential. Petrenko, Jetta, Hardingham, Taylor Hunt, Mitch Robinson, Kane Lucas. There the notable ones. Is there a swans ugly duckling story in there somewhere ?

Taylor Hunt or maybe at a stretch Petrenko are the only ones I would consider from that lot. The rest are on the scrap heap for a reason.
