Now that Petracca looks out of the picture due to that unfortunate injury, I think we should consider another very promising inside midfielder. I can't remember his name offhand, but he's an overager, around 182 cm. and 84 kgs. Has done a 12 + beep test. May not sound great, but he's as tough as nails. Doesn't matter how often you knock him down, he keeps getting up. I am sure that if he'd been in our side in the GF we wouldn't have capitulated so easily. What the Swans need is an uncompromising, relentless player that will stand up no matter how tough the conditions get.
................ now what's his name? I'll do some research and get back to you.Comment

In other words we plan only to draft players in the first three rounds and there are no bids for Hiscox in the first three rounds. If a club bids in round 4 of the draft for Hiscox, to match the bid do we have to take players in all four rounds of the draft?
At what point of the draft can he fall through to the rookie list?Comment

As the Swans have nominated three players, if three separate clubs offer a first round pick for each individual player, can the Swans still select them in each round? (Ie Heeney in round one, Davis in second and Hiscox in third)
Or do we we have to choose between them if the other clubs can use their first round selection that we cant match because we have used our first to get Heeney?
I assume its the first option but wanted to check.Comment

It's not all that complicated. If someone bids for one of our nominated players, we can outbid that club by committing our next available draft pick; if we choose not to commit that draft pick, the club that bid for the player must use that draft pick bid to take the player in the national draft. If no club bids for a player, we are committed, by dint of our nomination, to take that player with our final pick in the national draft; the player cannot go through to the rookie draft.
For this interpretation the term available draft pick means the next pick after giving affect to previous picks already committed to nominated players.
We cannot be prevented from taking all 3 nominated players if we want them.Last edited by Ludwig; 3 October 2014, 04:05 PM.Comment
