Essendon are cheats. The players are cheats, and the AFL is corrupt.

Anyone who sympathses with the players is mad . The first rule of sport is control what enters your body . It's your responsibility .

Essendon are cheating scum who have shown that illegal drugs are ok if you don't keep records .

All footy fans should boycott this game.

      He replies "is Franklin broken".

He had seen that Gary Rohan collision and thought that Franklin may not be fixed yet.

      How cute!
Nah Red Zone is basically General Admission, hope your boy and yourself have fun at the game.

In the context of the results of the Swans' Grand Final appearances in the modern era, the results from Round 1 are revealing.

In 2005 and 2012, Sydney won their Round 1 games.
In 1996, 2006, and 2014, Sydney lost their Round 1 games.

So if the Bombers win, I wouldn't bother showing up for the Grand Final is Sydney are playing.

Swans have confirmed that Heeney will debut on Saturday. Good on him!

Interesting that he's been confirmed to play before McVeigh and Tippett undergo their fitness tests.

Pretty standard that a debutant is announced prior to the official team being named regardless. Wonder if he might be the sub?

Any Swans member who calls out "Drug Cheat" to an Essendon player should have their membership torn up.

                  Slander is not acceptable.
So you don't think Neil Young should get a run over the PA - "The Needle and the Damage Done" perhaps?

This was a bit mean! From AFL.com:
"YOUNG Sydney Swan Isaac Heeney has suffered through an April Fool's Day prank before being told he will make his AFL debut on Saturday against Essendon.
The Swans Academy product, who was taken with pick No. 18 at last year's NAB AFL Draft, was initially told on Wednesday that he had not been selected for the ANZ Stadium clash. But co-captain Kieren Jack finally broke the good news to the 18-year-old later in the day."

I hope Dean Towers makes the cut. He was also a notable standout in the NAB cup along with Heeney. Also hoping that Mitchell and Lloyd get there as well, which would probably mean that Shaw doesn't. I'd like to see the younger players try to hold their spots early in the season. McGlynn and Zak Jones will certainly be pushing for selection soon, so I'd like to see how we go before the pressure builds even more for places in the 22.

Dan Robinson is probably a few spots down the queue and needs to get a bit quicker with his disposal, but I think that will come in due course. He showed some good skills as well in the NAB games.

                          Probably as standby for Tippett.

                              Don't be so harsh.
You only get told once that you're playing in the seniors for the first time... good on Kizza to milk it.
Where has the old Australian sense of humour gone?

Razor Ray... gives me something else to boo other than essenscum.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
