Agree completely. When he was being tossed from one end of the ground to the other he was having trouble living up to the considerable hype, but since being settled in defence he has gone from OK to gun and his 2015 was outstanding...Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

After 8 years of hype he has finally produced one good consistent season. That's great. My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

Hurley was AA last year. It's really only been 6 years of hype, plus 1 year of hypodermics, before producing that one good consistent season, unless you count last year as one of the hype years.
Although never tested so, Hurley has a number of positives, which is probably due to his high level of naturally occurring positives:- He's yet another blondey.
- He has a close relationship with Hanners.
- We can probably afford him if we don't offer Tippo another contract.
- He'll be Beta 4 the year off and should be well rested for 2017.
- Some of our future leaders won't feel challenged by him joining the club. He's not a natural leader. Prefers just going along with the Hird.
- If Buddy doesn't get sick again and the AFL can't think of anything else to take away from us, we may be short on hype leading up to the 2017 season, and Hurley could be just the fix we need.
