Wouldn't be completely surprised to see Gaz given the green vest after seemingly pulling up sore last week and he's already proven that he plays the role well.

I hope it's just to rest his ankle, but Longmire didn't really touch base on why he was out.

I think he's had an outstanding season and has improved dramatically from last season.

I did have wifi problems when watching the team selection, so maybe Longmire said something I didn't get?
Unfortunately Longmire isn't giving reasons why players are 'outs' this season.

I suspect Lloyd is being rested. He hasn't been named in the reserves who play on Saturday so there's no reason to omit any of the emergencies

I just wonder if you're named in the emergencies that the reason for your omission has to be dropped rather than rest or injury

Lloyd also listed as an emergency so maybe he really was "omitted " rather than being rested
Lloyd's polish was a little off under the intense Bloods V Hawks frenzy. I'm not surprised, but stoked for Robinson. He looked very happy in his interview with Rohan.

Agree. At times Lloyd was a bit 'deer in the headlights', but a great learning curve for him, that pressure game. He'll come back better, knowing his renowned application and attitude.

Lloydy made a couple of blues under intense pressure but so did Macca, Gazza, Ramps, Teddy, gee almost everyone. Lloydy was not any worse than any of the others. He got 18 and used about 15 well. Gaz got 6 and kicked a goal, missed three tackles and should have gone off at least 10 minutes before he did. He couldn't even chase. Harry was not terribly effective when he came on but he had no match practice. I think Lloydy being rested has more to do with his fitness than anything else. He was still sore apparently from his ankle injury.

Robbo has his chance though and good on him. he deserves it.

Yes good on Robbo - and great to see another Sydney boy make the grade. Sub should suit him (if the stupid rule suits anyone).

Just watched the Gaz interview of Robinson. Robbo looks SO excited (don't like his chances of the good night's sleep the coaches told him to get). But I was also impressed by Gaz's interview technique. He puts a few others in the shade.

My point of comparison was not against others, but against himself. I'm not used to seeing Lloyd miss a target. Lloyd has impressed me as being really cool under pressure. I'd back his disposal in most situations. He looked a little off to me. Did the others? Yes, but I've come to expect that.

After speaking to Rohan a few times during the Swans training camp up here, and seeing him interact with fans big and little, he could easily get a media gig. Just a open, friendly bloke.

I think that if you watch last year's games against the Hawks, he is a bit off in 2 of them.

Given we're not flat-track bullies like Hawthorn and West Coast, this game really feels like a bit of a no-win situation - a win notwithstanding. Anything less than a 60 point drubbing get ready for a week of breathless media punditry spouting "Carlton really showed us something this week" and "They took the fight right up to Sydney" and "What a brave performance by Carlton to only lose by 40".

God help us if they actually win. The media might actually take full credit for sacking Malthouse.

God really seems to have it in for the Swans, or AFL in Sydney, or some'at. It's been beautiful all week - cool but no sign of rain. Wake up this morning and it's overcast and drizzling.

The rain has already passed. Looks clear on the radar. Hopefully dry for the rest of the day, and if it stays overcast, no dew tonight, no wind.
