    It could read....

    Rohan Franklin Heeney
    McGlynn Tippett Goodes

If we can get this forward line together and firing, we could still be a real contender this year.

I also hope they stick with Nankervis, to share the rucking duties with Tippett.
agree totally. A fired up Jetta won't do us any harm either. Maintain the rage Jetts !

Heeney the highlight on a gloomy day. Where has Rhyce Shaw been all season? Captain McMissing does his normal trick. Time for a new captain or two!

I listened to the match on the radio and listened to some of the most one-sided commentary I have heard. I'm sure at one point one of them was climbing out of the commentary box window to hurl abuse at the umpire when a free kick wasn't paid to the Eagles.
In between their cheering for the Eagles, they made a few good points:

        Our disposal is rubbish

The workrate of our midfielders was not up to scratch. Whilst they contested, they didn't make enough space when we had the ball and didn't track back hard enough to make a contest on their opponents.

We are a defensive side. When the Eagles got away from us, we became more defensive and couldn't get the ball up our end. It is not in the Swans nature to match attack with attack - it is to defend more, defend harder.

McVeigh has fallen off the perch very quickly, those late two clangers in def 50 within 30 secs, that led to a turnover where of a first game player. Needs to lift his game, is capable...

This has been a real issue for several weeks. We are so dependent on the two way workrate of our midfield, and sadly in recent times its been pretty much non-existent.

War dance and related issues aside, I just love the 2015 version of Lewis Jetta. He's grown so much as both a player and a leader this year. He may be soft-spoken, but he shows a lot of leadership on the field and takes increasing responsibility for getting the team going. I really hope he stays with us. He would be such a huge loss if he left.

We were beaten by a very good team yesterday. Their one weakness would have been against tall forwards, but we really didn't have the personnel to take advantage of it. Their pressure and work around the ground was relentless, as is usually the case with the very best sides. They probably are the only club that has a legitimate shot against Hawthorn this year, although I think they aren't quite in that class yet.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Eagles yesterday. They were good, but it was more what we did or more precisely did not do, that was the difference in the game. Execution of skills was laughably bad, work rate was poor , yet there patches when we still looked competitive. Wouldn't be getting too carried away with the Eagles, the swans are in a massive slump

Whatever it was for, I loved it.
I was listening to SEN as it happened and it was nothing short of disgusting...was absolutely infuriating to hear Jakovich repeatedly say that he should be sanctioned by the AFL...only Tim Gossich had any form of understanding around the issue and that's saying something.

The West Coast crowd were appalling yesterday...extremely disappointing.

I agree with this. I wasn't that impressed by West Coast, and I don't think they'll worry the Hawks or indeed Freo (who have the defensive game to shut them down). They really did look to be swaying pretty badly at the end of the 3rd/start of the 4th, and it might have got pretty close had BJ spotted his teammate and we got back to within I think it was 4 goals.

West Coast are vastly improved on previous years however, but I wasn't particularly impressed.

It's pretty obvious we are way out of form, even the wins against Brisbane & Gold Coast were pretty average against very poor opposition. The only recent OK footy we've played in the last six of seven rounds was the game against Port.
But if you were offered 11-and-5 at the start of the season, you probably would have taken it.
The continued booing of Goodsey is disgusting, and I think it makes a lot of Swans fans barely able to watch away games.
My family and I sat at the end of a row in a bay next a Hawthorn bay at the GF last year, and we heard it all. Even if you put aside the result of the game, basically we didn't want to be there, somehow connected to these bigots just because we
                      want to support our team.
But while the likes of the AFL CEO continue to say he doesn't believe it is racially motivated, or wouldn't like to believe
it is racist (when it so clearly is), the higher ups in the AFL are essentially condoning racism.
It makes the whole concept of the Indigenous Round so hollow. It's not just the AFL leadership that needs to step up to
                      the plate here.
The clubs and the players blah on endlessly about leadership but when it comes to an important issue like this they are completely spineless.
How Goodsey puts up with this appalling treatment week after week is beyond me.

Nank is going Ok, Same for Jones. Heeney just special, thanks Bruce. X appears to be nearly good enough.

George HEWETT had a shocking 8 week holiday and turned up very unfit. A great preseason could turn him into anything. MILLS, struggling this year with injuries so who knows what happening but the little bit of NEAFL seemed to be good.
NEWMAN with a preaseson, with no knee injury and again who knows. ROSE, MARSH maybe gone, ALIIR, DAVIS shows what might be available.

BUT, and thats the big BUT, game style and structure has to evolve otherwise we are dog-paddling and slowing sinking.

Great post with the forwards. 'Each tall gets a small' and we need less forwards into the back 50m.

Yes, but the drums are still beating about Mills and being the best mid in the draft. 6 games to go. Find Melbourne, pick 4, and they will bid for him even after Petracca and Brayshaw last year.

Ah, as fans and a club, we will ALWAYS be better than them. Some of us just aren't afraid not to keep it all PC and non offensive, ie; calling it how it IS!! It's called an opinion, and while I respect yours, and your right to give it, I don't have to agree with it. We will be 'no better than them' when we disrespect and boo incessantly, their indigenous players for no reason other than the inexcusably obvious, and boo every free kick, right or wrong, that goes against us( when 50+ pts up!), and we're not rednecks or one eyed idiots, so it will never happen. I'm proud of my club for many reasons, and this is just another. One persons opinion doesn't make a club, but an entire crowd exposing their prejudices to the world is a fairer indication of where a club is at, I reckon, and if was a WC administrator, I'd be pretty embarrassed. We ARE better than them..........
