True......as soon as I posted I was questioning myself, after feeling so clever. Touch embarrassed.

Okay so there is nothing that sounds better or sends tingles up the spine more than 40,000 Swans fans doing the slow S....Y.....D.....N.....E....Y..... chant at the SCG.@

Adam Goodes is an absolute champion of our club, a beloved Swan who has achieved beyond all possible expectations (games record for Swans, Dual Premiership player, Dual Brownlow Medallist) and is a true ambassador to both indigenous and non-indigenous children and adults alike.@

We may not have the privilage and opportunity to witness him gracing the SCG for much longer. Therefore i propose that as Swans fans we rally behind him at every game between now and the end of season to band together and start up an incredibly loud and slow
G...O...O...D...S...E...Y.... chant. Let's show our respect and gratitude to a true legend of the Sydney Swans and the AFL and pay tribute for all that he has done to our Swans family.

One of the 12 yo kids at my local junior club said he wanted to write the number 37 on his arm when he plays on Sunday. He is in an academy kid and has been inspired by meeting Adam at trainings.
It has spread though the whole club and I suspect by the weekend it will spread to other junior clubs

There will be 1000 T-shirts with 37 on them front and back on Saturday. Thanks so much KTigers!

I'll take a couple of hundred to the Member recognition event - is anyone else going to that who can help me hand them out?

Can some others come along to the SCG early to help hand out T-shirts? I guess we mainly want to give it to people who sit near the front and will be prominently seen. (The banner team can't wear them instead of their standard jackets.) Driver Ave closes at 2pm so we'll drop them before then and stay there with them. BTW the Swans have asked that we make sure we take the empty boxes away when we are finished.

If you can help, thank you very much. If you can express your interest on this thread we'll follow up with you - I find my PM mailbox fills quickly (or used to).

This is our chance to back up our words with actions, thanks to one of us. Let's make it as effective as possible.
I've been out for the evening and came back on and found that no-one has offered to help on Saturday. No-one?

I guess Margot and I can do it by ourselves but some help from people who say they want to support Adam would have been nice.

Maybe everyone just checks RWO late at night.

              Count me in.

If you don't want to have to get to the ground before Driver Avenue is closed, I can provide a parking ticket that will enable the delivery vehicle to park in the P1 carpark outside the ground. You should be able to persuade those who direct cars to allow you to park close to the front of the carpark so its not so far to carry the boxes. Not sure on when the carpark fills up but it would probably be safe to arrive as late as 3pm, maybe later.

I can stand at the entrance to the car park to give you the ticket as you enter (and then come and help with moving boxes).

Even if that doesn't work for you, still would love to help out handing t-shirts out.

I'm sure you'll get more volunteers soon enough. Many people won't check in, or at least, have time to post, until later this evening or tomorrow.

KTigers and all, sorry but I have a family commitment before the game and will be late as it is, but I have cross posted this request, with a link, to the Ladies at Sydney Swans (L@SS) FB page. Hopefully, this may provide some more helpers. Thank you all so much for your generosity and action!

                          KTigers you are a gem.

The rallying here and elsewhere is so lovely to see. This is the club I know and love and let's hope every part of the club - the support staff, the players and the fans, all put on a special show on Saturday.

Edit: And if more man/woman power needs to be gathered, the folks over at BigFooty may be a helpful source.

KTigers thank you for your invredible generosity in supporting Adam via this clever initiative. I have posted on BF a link to this page calling for volunteers to help distribute the tshirts which will hopefully drum up some additional support. Once again really appreciate your ACTION.
