Kinda upset with Franklin at the moment. Mental illness/drunk issues or not, he cost us the 2015 season. Hawthorn is laughing at us and I'm not happy.
Everyone has been so PC about it (Oh we gotta care about his health), which is understandable, but I have a feeling a lot of people, if they're honest, are just as upset as myself.
Upset??? My god there are far more serious and important things to be truly upset about in this life - who does & who doesn't play in a footy game isn't one of themI used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

PS; Annette Sharp's excuses are pathetic and shows she still doesn't have a clue.

Longmire on ABC Grandstand at the moment. Very positive noises about Lance. Expects him to be back for pre-season, and he's "going well" and is getting the best professional help. Mentioned the fact we've had mental health support at the club for a decade.Comment

Excellent now i hope all these idiotic rumours stop. I particularly liked the one that said he was sleeping with a teammates partner, a rumour which started after the Anthony Stevens interview not even creative...Comment

I heard the interview too. It won't make any difference though, Buddy having difficulty with his health is not a juicy enough story for the media, they will spin it anyway they want and it will then get spun further on forums. Evidence? Who needs that.Last edited by RogueSwan; 3 October 2015, 04:34 PM."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

After listening to Horse, there is absolutely no way cartman/Cliff's rumour could be true.Comment

Longmire has been a advocate for mental health issues and their effect on footy players for a while. Why would he lose any credibility he has on this subject by using mental health problems to cover a 3rd strike? That's not to say its impossible Lance's issues are partly drug related. Who knows (and at this point, who really cares)? But it wouldn't be as simple as just a 3rd strike. If that were the case, he'd take his medicine - a suspension, or whatever - and then pick up from where he left off.
The AFL, too, has denied he has received a 3rd strike. Why would figures like Gillon Mc risk their credibility either?Comment

In a word, no. But it continues to astonish me the way people keep circulating this stuff, using phrases like "credible source", as if to convince themselves (or us) it's not a complete malicious fabrication. Human beings are capable of monstrous self-delusion, and footy supporters are the supreme exponents of this capability.Comment
