Must say I'm not enthused yet either. Playing away from home against a poor-drawing team with a host of our stars out with rain forecast for the end of the week. I guess I'll get around to getting some overpriced tickets at some stage.....Comment

Can rock up at the last minute if I want to.
That wouldn't happen at the SCG.
IF it were at the SCG, I supposed I'd be more worried about getting tickets.
I've lined up before for the final and scored the crappest tickets in the house.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Not attending a final in your home state? Truly mind-boggling. You'll be wishing you'd gone if we spend a few years in the wilderness.Bloods

C'mon people, have some faith. We have won eight consecutive finals in Sydney. The only reason we lost against Freo was our goal kicking.
North are notoriously flaky, and we wiped them out in the prelim last year. Don't tell me that isn't far back in their mind. If we can bring the
effort and pressure we gave against Freo and kick a bit straighter, we will win comfortably. I spent three hundred plus bucks for our four tix
on the wing at 9:01 this morning. It was a privilege.Comment

I can't believe people are contemplating not going to the game! I wish I lived in Sydney. Come on our team needs your support!
I was at the game yesterday and the noise that the Richmond supporters made was unbelievable. This is what we want from our supporters.Comment

Jeesus Annie etc. This is not about you. This is about the team we love. Surely being there to support them in the biggest game so far this year is more important than whether or not you like the venue ?? Where's all the Goodsey love of a few weeks ago ? Frocking up for a dinner is not like being with the team when they need you, and on Saturday night, the team needs us all !!!Comment

What's with all the pessimism? Why not go? I'll be more excited the following week (I'm pretty confident we can beat North) but Perth isn't very convenient. And like Meg pointed out - last home game for Shaw and, I reckon, Goodsie. This is the clincher. Why wouldn't you take the chance to cheer them off?
On a side note, while Richmond are far from my second favourite team (thanks in part to thugs like Tyrone and Dimma), I did actually feel quite sorry for Tigers' fans watching their EF yesterday. It must really really suck after years and years and years and years of poor results to at last make the finals 3 years running (twice in 5th place after H&A) and lose 3 from 3. It must hurt even more after a couple of years of finals' pain and then a season with some excellent games. Surely the highlight of the Tigers' season was their clinical disposal of the Hawks to interrupt the Hawks red-hot run of form which included demolitions of Freo and Sydney, an annihilation of Carlton and a solid victory the following week over West Coast at Subi. I think despite the good stuff and improvement the Tigers have shown during the year, Dimma's position will be seriously scrutinised over the off season. On a positive note for him, Richmond would be well behind the 8 ball if it enters the race for a new coach. Bolton is taken and the Gliders and Crows must be well advanced in their search for new coaches. And the Tiges have improved - this is the first year I've really begun to rate them a bit.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

And in some good news for booking tickets (well, news to me), AT LAST Ticketek has introduced an online system that allows you to choose the area of the ground in which you want to sit. Still can't choose your actual seat but it's a helluva improvement on the 'best available' that used to stick me in places I hated.Comment
