Can we please all take a chill pill. This is meant to be finals week, the best week of the season. Would be nice if we could get through the week without bickering. One post that outrageously overstepped the mark has already been deleted. Others probably should be but the mods would rather not see this thread turn into one punctuated by deleted posts, warnings and infractions.

How about we all respect the fact that others support the team in their own way, and not suggest others are lesser fans if they choose not to attend a game. And if you do see something you read as suggesting otherwise, take a deep breath before responding. And then respond with some charity, kindness and wit, rather than defensive aggression. Or don't respond. And if you think someone has overstepped the mark, use the "report post" function and let the moderators deal with it.

Goodesy's contract runs out in October, but I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere last year or maybe the year before, where he said if his body was up to it and he still had a role to play in the team then he would be happy to put in another year (2016) - on the minimum wage if that's what it took. His body looked pretty damn fine on Saturday and besides he won't be 37 until season 2017. I'd be happy to give another 2 years!

Sadly I'll be in Qld for this week grrr, but win lose or draw I get the feeling this will be one game I'm going to regret missing for a long time to come. "Home" ground, landmark career events, rain hail or shine... those poor bastards are going to feel the full force of what it means to play Finals Footy in Sydney. Sucks to be Norf!

I will say I find choosing not to go to a home final in your own city a bit odd, but it's not for me to judge.

All I will say is - we got within 9 points of the top team on their home turf despite losing our CHF before half time and a handful of our players playing just about their worst game of the year. Plenty of reason for optimism going into the semi-final I would have thought. If you don't go, that's your choice, I'm not going to come round to your house demanding to know why you aren't going to the game, but one would hope that as many Swans members as possible would make the effort to attend their own home final.

Absolutely pumped, just booked my tickets for a first time visit to ANZ and driving down from Mackay in Qld first thing Thursday am with the wife and kids. My two girls first Swannies game!! Hope the lads put on a show for us as they were so gutsy on the weekend. Have a good feeling about this one. For the first time since last years GF I felt we dug in and got that real Bloods spirit back, long may it continue!!

Got my tickets today just after 2pm! First AFL final as well.

After watching the Swans on tv for years I thought I'd go to 4 or 5 games this season. 10 attended games later and with a finals match coming up I definitely plan on getting membership next year.

Go the Swans! Win on Saturday for Buddy and all the other Swans who can't be there and for Shaw in his last home game.
