Your always good for a laugh barry - the stadium needs closure now... did you hear it crying one night up in the lofty heights of the members stand about the end of afl at the venue?

As for abandoning the West - your melancholic view of the world may well be right in time. But on the evidence so far, its had no noticeable effect on crowds or memberships at the club - the evidence available at this time appears to vindicate the decision of the club.

I reckon we are more of a chance against the Hawks at ANZ then the SCG.

Interestingly enough, in some ways I think we probably are as well - but then again its the Hawks, who seem to be able to beat us in Sydney in recent years wherever we play.

Hardly, it is a sensational venue for premier sport. SOO, Bloodyslow, NRL grand final are excellent at ANZ. Even the 70,000's we got early on for AFL rocked.
Weve shared some great memories, this ground and I.

Maybe if there is a final there Channel Seven can hire you to do a 'stadium monologue' like Channel Nine did during the State of Origin, where they had a segment of Suncorp Stadium talking in the first person....

Not to mention the whole venue (ground and stands) singing Bon Jovi's "wanted dead or alive" as one. Great memories.

According to the Cordy article only 4,500 tickets to SCG games have used by ANZ members all year.

Neil Cordy on Twitter saying deal is done - we're playing finals at the SCG!

AFL has also confirmed. Any final against GWS will be played at ANZ

So it seems that we will be playing our finals this year at the SCG. Yay!!
Except if we play GWS, which will be played at ANZ. WTF!?

A deal like this is better than no deal at all.

Yes, but I'm wondering what sort of odd logic there is for making GWS the exception? Their supporters can't get to the SCG, as opposed to Adelaide or Hawthorn supporters?

The logic is that GWS had already been told any home final of theirs against us would be at ANZ as opposed to Spotless, so it is only fair that we reciprocate that

Well, I suspect that is because Spotless wouldn't be able to hold the number of Swans fans wanting to attend a Sydney final. Whereas, the SCG could fit the number of Giants fans wanting to attend.
