Oh, come on..... the scene of the 2012 Prelim with the snapping of the eleven game losing streak to Collingwood, and Lewis Jetta's finest hour with his 90m three bounce goal. Memories, great times....
Actually the Swans have a very impressive Finals record there:
8 Final wins in row from West Coast in 2004 to North Melbourne in 2014. The only two losses were the first finals game ever in 2003 against Brisbane and last year's semi final against North.
If we do lose a final there we can trace it back to the decision to not play there during the season

Or or not playing at ANZ during the season might have got us into the top of the ladder position we're currently experiencing (because of SCG wins that we might not have had by playing at ANZ). Sliding doors - we'll never know.
My Thoughts,
There will be an argument here but after -
Sydney Clinch a Top 2, no need to look arrogant arguing about the venue now
If they went to the AFL now they would say exactly as above
Where GWS finish, if they get a home final, surely the higher team gets to play at "home" and GWS can go on the road at "home"
AFL's only chance of a sell out in NSW is at SCG, GWS wont sell out Spotless for a final and will look ridiculous at ANZ
Looks to me like we will playing Hawthorn at ANZ, and GWS will play North at Spotless in Week 1. If we win, I would see our likely opponent to be Geelong in the Prelim at ANZ. If we lose against Hawthorn, then our opponent in Week 2 would likely be GWS. A win there would likely see us playing against Adelaide in Adelaide in the Prelim.
Best to keep winning methinks.
All of the games that the top 5 are playing are far from certainties as far as I'm concerned.
Particularly as it's the end of the year and that generally brings upsets as well.
I believe Richmond rested some players to test out some up and comers last week?
Hopefully they do the same next week
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
I guess I think when you buy something like the eleven SCG game reserved seat membership you do get a bulk discount for buying eleven games up front and not just a one-off ticket on the day. The equivalent GWS memberships at Spotless are about 35% cheaper. You can either look at it as the Swans memberships being expensive, or as the GWS memberships being cheap.
I think when people pay for their 2016 membership in December 2015 they've basically forgotten about the expense when the 2016
finals series come around, and they get a rude awakening because the AFL ramps up the already expensive single game ticket price.
The finals are important obviously, but they are still just a game of footy, and not everybody has money to spare, and they see
the almost three figure finals ticket price, and they say "f... it, I'm watching it on TV".

Buying individual tickets to games any where in oz is getting very dear now with the exception of melbourne where both grounds have good seats in ga. Its part of the game now sadly.
Just rec'd the AFL Finals ticket sales information booklet in the mail. It has a page titled "Purchase tickets - MCG, Adelaide Oval, ANZ Stadium or the SCG"".
