And having a quick look at the ladder, there's a reasonable chance that we will host GWS at ANZ, but pretty well no chance that they'll be forced to host us there. So that is treating a reasonably likely situation, as being the same as a highly unlikely situation.
ANZ Stadium rears its ugly head.

Happy with the outcome. While I understand the logic re ANZ to be used should there be a Swans v GWS final, that can only hold for this year anyway. From 2017 onwards, once ANZ is turned into a rectangular stadium, any Swans v GWS final will have to be held at either SCG or Spotless.Comment

Given the agreement has been reached, you can just about lock in a loss by one of the Top 4 (as long as it's not us) and a win for GWS to mean our rejoicing is short lived.

They played their first AFL match there but who would remember such a trivial occasion ?Comment

Yes, 3 times against the Swans, 3 big losses. But that was in their early days.

So, Crows v Eagles; Geelong v Melbourne; Hawthorn v Collingwood.
The first game is the one in which it is most likely the top 4 team will lose. Cheering for Adelaide to win by a small margin. Of course, if the two top 4 teams lose, we will also miss the Giants.
All this presumes the Giants win. Any chance the Roos will lift themselves sufficiently?Comment

I think there is a fair chance. They were excellent against us and unlucky not to win. Higgins back and will be some emotion in what will possibly be the last hurrah in Melbourne for the culled 4. Definitely a chance at Ethiad. Its hard to decide which teams to go for as each game can have a domino effect - preferably I would prefer to miss out on playing Hawks and Giants if possible - I would back us to account for Crows, Cats, Eagles, Dogs and Roos at the SCG with confidenceSo, Crows v Eagles; Geelong v Melbourne; Hawthorn v Collingwood.

While any game could produce an upset, I don't really like Eagles chances without Natanui. My pick for the upset would be Hawks/Pies. The mustard on turd haven't been in good form of late, while the Pies have actually been of the form teams. And I'm sure that they would like to inflict a bit of pain in their final match of the season. So, Crows v Eagles; Geelong v Melbourne; Hawthorn v Collingwood.
