I feel with Tom Mitchell, yes he gets plenty of the ball, no doubt about it. However he probably plays on the 5th best midfielder from the opposition club each week behind Kennedy, Hannebery, Parker and Jack.

I would like to see him stay because he adds depth to the midfield, however going to another club he will become in their top 3 possibly and will find it a lot more difficult.

I trust the club if they do trade him.

Where does he play for the hawks. They are slow now mitch isn't going to change that and with Hill going and Omeara questionable after 2 years out are they serious. Lets not lose him for a lanford bruest etc on last nights performance there is not much there. Maybe if someone in Suns team could be part of trade not sure who.

Titch is a good example of how stats obsessed the AFL fanbase is.

When he got those massive numbers a few years ago in the twos it was assumed he was all levels of elite. And once again stats prove so much and they dont reflect that he is an avg kick, slow and still a bit suspect in his defence. Then I reckon the first game against the hawks this year was his job interview for the hawks, but lets be honest about that game, the hawks were coming off a terrible week and were deflated for that game.

And since that game he has been shown up and his real currency was exposed.

Sorry titch, but you're gonna have to settle for $450k a year max.

Def agree with not getting Langford...wouldnt be in our best 18....but would take Breust any day of the week...exactly what swans are missing....specialist forward pocket.

Richo just said on "before the game" that Breust has been told he is tradable

After the performance last night I think that the club should do whatever it can to keep Tom Mitchell.

Yep Mitchell was very good last night. My thoughts are that if we cant afford to keep him then we arent going to be able to afford a trade of the same calibre anyways...eg Breust. I just hope we dont trade for someone thats not going to be of use to us.

I still think for us to be superior on the mcg in a gf in 2017 onwards we need a player such as Trent with a death role of a whistling spear 70m kick straight to bud etc

I think he is a low cost trade

It Mitchell has to go I wouldn't mind bringing in Luke Breust (ex-NSW boy) who was told he could be on the trade table. Would be a good addition to the foward line.

Breust is already a good fit in our colors - he played in our 2008 ressies premiership.

Could be like a reverse Greg Williams situation, career going full circle

Don't know he was on our list. Wasn't he a top-up? We looked at him as a draft prospect but thought he was a bit lightly bodied?

Are you talking about bundling them? Coz few people here rate Towers, why would any other club give a mid/late 30s pick for him?[/QUOTE]

Speak for yourself! I think there's a lot to like about Towers.
