      Did Tony end up at Collingwood after he played for us or was it the other way around? I can't remember.

        He started with the Crows, then Swans and then finished at Collingwood.

          What a great article. The number of middle-age white men weighing in stood out for me too, but it usually does.

            Great news considering how "evil" middle aged white men are isn't it Mel?

              Got my tickets for next Thursday's showing. Thanks to the good people of RWO for making it known that another session is on. This is the best source of Swans news bar none!

                Never heard so much crap in my life;
                He cites the following statistics insinuating it as being the consequence of racism;
                * There were 147 Indigenous deaths in custody from 2008-2019.
                * Aboriginal youth suicide rate is higher than anywhere in the world bar Greenland.
                * We live 10 years less than our Anglo-Saxon brothers and sisters.

                These statistics are an issue but NONE of these are caused by racism or discrimination. They have everything to do with indigenous people struggling to cope with modern society. This is not a deliberate act by "white people". It is a consequence of modern society.

                He then goes on with the following;
                * "We only got the vote 54 years ago". So what? That was prior to his parents being born. I have an ancestor who was hanged for stealing a hanky and another that was murdered. Do you see me complaining about how that has held me back?
                * "We also must remember the Stolen Generation, where children were taken from their parents without their consent because they viewed our culture as vile and arcane". This is factually incorrect.

                Firstly there was no "stolen generation". Secondly, children of ALL backgrounds were removed from their parents, not just Aboriginal children. Thirdly, the process may have been flawed in some situations but in majority of situations it probably saved the lives of many of these children who were either being abused or raised in sub-standard conditions.

                Then there is the following crap;
                * Andrew Bolt was found to be in reach of the Racial Discrimination Act but it was a significant flawed act introduced by a significantly flawed Labor Federal Government. His comment that light skinned people who identified as "Aboriginal" did so for personal gain. Vast numbers of Australians agree with this, including legitimate members of the Aboriginal community. Just look at one of the complainants in the legal case as an example; Geoffrey Clarke who is a corrupt indigenous fake who stole from his own people. Need I say more?
                * He justified the booing of Ablett (in contrast to Goodes) because of his tribunal history. He completely ignores the fact that Ablett is being booed because of his religious beliefs (yes that correct; the booing started immediately after that tweet).
                * He claims that Goodes was only booed for pointing out the 13y.o. girl and ignores the fact that Goodes was booed before that because he started staging for free kicks in his later years.
                * He claims that "White Australia hides behind ignorance as an excuse". You can't get much more racist than that comment. Imagine the outrage if he stated "Black Australia hides behind ignorance as an excuse".

                It's time for all Australans to unite as one but this will never happen whilst the left and certain Indigenous Australians continue to promote this divide.

                People like Goodes and O'Loughlin are making a lot of money out of this division and a certain demographic of the community love to promote this divide so that they can push their "discrimination and PC wheelbarrow". It has to stop. It's time to stop the "white hate" and start fixing the problem with indigenous Australia and the indigenous Australians that need assistance are those in romote communities. Those in major cities/towns get more financial and emotional support than anyone else could dream of.

                And before you come back with the usual crap of "you're white, you would know what it feels like", I have indigenous heritage too and it hasnt help me back.

                  I think he hams it up as a mockery of parochial Victorian media, but it does grate a bit.

                    How are Goodes and Oloughlin making money out of division? If you referring to GO foundation which helps indigenous kids educationally, please provide details as to how they are benefiting financially and how their actions are divisive.

                        It’s always interesting to see how just how differently people interpret things that they see hear or read. The exact same sentence or paragraph can seemingly be co-opted to fit a personal mind-set

                          Actually I'm referring mainly to O'Loughlin who is the non-working figurehead of an indigenous company that is winning contracts that are ONLY open to companies that are owned by people who identify as indigenous. This company was specifically established as a result of government policies which promote this. It never existed prior.

                            Do you know for sure that he's getting a cut? How is this different to many ex players using their name? Probably gets down to whether one thinks there should be a boost for disadvantaged groups to get going in business. Understand the view point of too much welfare not productive, but pretty sure Oloughlin would be sincere in his purpose.

                                Thought this would appeal to RWOers.

                                A senior indigenous leader says Gillon McLachlan should be removed as AFL boss because of his failings in the Adam Goodes racism row.

                                Mick Gooda, who led an AFL contingent invited to address the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2011, said last week’s belated apology to the dual Brownlow medallist “isn’t enough”. “I had a friend on the AFL commission who told me at the time that people were blaming Adam for it — that he had brought it on himself,” Gooda told the Herald Sun. “They were saying exactly what the rednecks were saying...
