              He must go, a test of whether we practice what we preach.

              That entire episode is a disgrace from a governance perspective from Channel 7 and Worner the Creep is very very lucky that Stokes has his back in what is basically a dictator in terns of that company. If any other employee had been having an affair with a co-worker, including taking drugs, both on company time and money then they would have been shown the door pronto and taken to court on fraud charges. Then when the relationship went pear-shaped he used company resources to try and bully his mistress into "making the problem go away".

                Let me get this right. He has a consensual sexual relationship with another adult and he's a dickhead. Yet, the person in your avatar paid off a victim of an alledged rape in which he was a co-accused and he isn't?

                You idiolise that person yet accuse the other as being a dickhead. Do you see what is hypocritical about this?

                    I'm assuming that you don't know as much about the historical incident Adelaide and MOL's alleged involvement and maybe RogueSwan does (the information is out there).

                    So - to look at Worner's behaviour and that of Channel 7 (with his involvement) independent of avatars - affairs happen, but the possible use of drugs in work time and the heavy-handed treatment and attempted silencing of the other party can't be acceptable for somebody who represents the Swans. Surely he is gone.

                      I actually know more much more about the MOL situation than pretty much anyone outside of the law enforcement circle which is why I have have formed the opinion that he isn't a person of integrity (IMO).

                      Tim Worner has been accused of having a workplace sexual relationship with a collegue and taking drugs. I neither like nor cordone this but if he is going to be sacked for this then we need to be consistent. Talia, for example, was arrested with drugs in his possession and was allowed to keep his job. Surely, he would need to be sacked too based on this premise?

                      Personally if I had my way, anyone who is involved in drugs or any criminal offence for that matter (using the civil measurement of "on the balance of probability") should be allowed to be terminated from their employment. People need to learn that there are consequences for their actions but in doing so there needs to be consistency.

                      Personally, I think Worner should be kicked off the board but to do so whilst retaining the employment and association of of others would be hypocritical.

                        You make some valid points there.

                        His extra-marital affair is really nobody's business, Alpha Male CEOs have long viewed rooting staff members as one of the perks of the job but it is dangerous territory indeed for any CEO wishing to fish from his own well. On one extreme, when conducted on a discrete basis where the CEO ensures that there is little operational interaction it causes few issues on a governance level.

                        The issue here is illegal activity on the job, on company time and on the company tab ($180,000 apparently FFS). And using the company Chief Counsel to use company money to bully the problem away. It's fraud and it's abuse of power. As I said, I could guarantee that any other person in that organisation would be fired instantly in that situation.

                        That Talia example is not really that valid. If Talia had missed training because he was snorting coke off a friend of his girlfriend when he should have been at training, whilst charging the costs back to the Swans, then that might go close.

                          I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree. For it to be comparable (from all accounts) Tallia would have to be snorting coke off a friend of his girlfriend AT training, whilst charging the costs back to the Swans.

                            I have no particular affiliation with or affection for Worner and don't particularly care if he stays or goes, but if his employer has consider him guilty of nothing more than poor judgment, I'm not sure the Swans board needs to be making an example of him. I presume he's not the first Swans director guilty of marital infidelity.
