The consolation I have is that it was a fairly stressless viewing last night.

It was SO awful, the missed handballs, kick errors, commentator bias etc that would normally have me shouting at the TV, just didn't happen

Positive 1: We didn't lose by as much as West Coast did.
Positive 2: On Friday, I didn't see my Geelong supporting friend, who I usually spend a bit time with on Friday arvo. Therefore, I didn't get the chance to be an overconfident, insufferable prat. Therefore, I will probably only have to suffer, a more moderate amount of gloating from her next Friday.

          1) are you asking or telling?

If you're asking, then no sir, no I do not. If you're telling, please peddle your opinion elsewhere. I do not like the Giants.

          2) please don't hijack the Positives Only thread. I'm pretty sure it was meant as positives about the Swans season, so unless you're talking about our positively stellar win against the Giants in round 17, Greater Western Sydney has no place in this particular thread

          Thank you

I have been ultra disappointed since Friday and 6 months is a long time to wait but when I reflect and look at our list, I am so looking forward to doing this all over again. I still think Heeney is our next real chance to take out a Brownlow and with a good pre-season without glandular fever, it wouldn't surprise me to see him go absolutely berserk in 2018. I reckon Florent and Dawson will play 80% of games next year too which is exciting.

Agree overall our list is in good condition. Hayward I'd expect to have a big year next year. Played a lot of senior games n was able to fight his way back in the side. Brings a lot to the side as a medium hf. Aliir you'd imagine will bounce back from a disappointing year n fight for a place in the 22. Dawson will come in n spend time at hf with a run in the midfield every so often, how Hewett has started his career. Cameron should improve n place pressure on the likes of Sinclair & Tippet. N like you say Florent has had a good year n I'd expect him to be around that best 22. I'd like him at hb rotating through the midfield. He'll be a gun eventually imo I'll enjoy the next few weeks n then look forward to the draft. A bit of tinkering n we'll be back fighting for a top 4 spot. It's not doom n gloom

I agree. I'll go as far as to say we're a lock for top four. We'll probably start 6-0 next year......

First time in ages we've got an early start to preseason and don't have a heap of players ending the year hobbling. We actually go on holidays fit!

Forget Friday night, this list is in good shape, so many highly skilled kids to fit into the 22 and a couple more added at the draft. Most of the rookies show promise, be interesting to see how we handle those list wise.

McVeigh the only definite retirement next year, several ressie players probably won't get a 2019 contract.

Given what the team achieved this year after the dreadful preseason and early rounds woes, the future's so bright, gotta wear shades! Who sang that?

I'm actually hoping the Crows win it from here. Their playing style is the best to watch in the AFL. They lost Dangerfield in a trade that Geelong got by far the most out of, they then had a new coach come in who did an incredible job. He then passed away in tragic circumstances. Then another new coach comes in and does a wonderful job. Their players seem like decent guys. Eddie Betts is one of my favourite of all time.

I wouldn't mind crows winning it. Anyone but Richmond really.

Positives only Barry, positives! I live in Adelaide, nothing positive about a Crows flag, be fawningly unbearable all summer :-(
But at least you're positive wanting a Wretchmond fail :-)
