Sums it up pretty well. If we finish 5 or 6 then WCE, Melbourne, St Kilda would be better than Bulldogs, Essendon or Hawthorn (mathematical chance?).

Hawthorn and Collingwood cannot realistically make the finals. They would have to win all three games and rely on Essendon, Melbourne, West Coast and St Kilda all winning no more than one game to end on 11 wins. Melbourne and St Kilda play each other, and these sides have enough winnable games against lower sides to make it highly likely that at least one of them will win two games. The Western Bulldogs could also win no more games and open up another spot due to their poor percentage.

The most likely scenario is that 8th makes the finals with 12 wins and a good percentage.

The only thing I hope for the finals series is the Bulldogs finish 9th.

Win or lose, I wouldn't enjoy finishing 5th and the Dogs finish 8th... particularly losing.

The team we do not want to meet in the finals will be Richmond. The umpires will be in fairytale mode with them.

So many 8 point games in the run home, so many potentially riveting games to watch, so many players to cop suspensions later today. For all the bad things that have happened at AFL House, the footy this year has been best ever.

            This week, Dogs-GWS, Melbourne-Saints, Geelong-Richmond

            R22, Swans-Crows, Dogs-Port, GWS-WCE and of interest to us Pies-Geelong

            R23, WCE-Crows, Geelong-GWS, Richmond-Saints, Dogs-Hawks Hodge farewell

            Delicious stuff before the bye.

With Geelong playing Richmond this weekend, if we win we will be within a game of fourth with better %. Geelong have GWS last round and are without Selwood - they are the most vulnerable. We have to win all three to be a shot at fourth.

GWS mightn't need the tall forwards after all, the remainders kicked 8 goals in about 12 minutes on Saturday against Melbourne.
The game was done at quarter time.

GWS were better without Patton and Cameron. Finally had some forward pressure. However it was a very windy day so not the best for task forward s anyway.

Tigers are the biggest question mark team out of the 8. Good enough to go deep into finals, but also likely to @@@@ the bed and go out in straight sets.

Richmond haven't won a final since 2001. They have lost the last four finals they played in.

Dogs will be without Easton Wood for most of the rest of the year (severe hammy) and they've already lost Morris for the year.

Redid my predictor. I did it using current percentages. I had us finishing 5th out of top 4 on percentage. I did have us beating Adelaide, I do think we can win. Either way we'd play Geelong. We win in Adelaide n it'd be at the scg n lose n obviously it's in in Melbourne.

Tom Hawkins got 2 weeks. Top four chance for us boosted slightly.

You think bullies will beat Giants & Hawks? You say the giants are not playing well. But on the weekend they played very well and sent a warning sign to everybody. I don't think Port can beat them but who knows. If Port manage to bring their A game maybe. But the Bullies are not playing great footy either. I would say they have been lucky to win their last three. They only just got over a very young Lions, won well over an Essendon team that didn't turn up and thrashed the Suns (who couldn't). Mind you Essendon still had the same amount of scoring shots. Even if you look at the two before that; Carlton by 20 points & murdered by the Crows to the tune of 59 points. Other than Essendon in the run home, which was a very easy run, who have Bullies beaten? If Port are flat track bullies so are these blokes. They were beaten by the Eagles, won over Norf by 1 point and got flogged by Melbourne before that.

In summary they are pretenders and will be lucky to win one match out of three. They will still make the eight but only just. I think both Hawks and GWS will flog them.

                                Where do you have Geelong?

If we win 2/3 we will play at home and be 5th. If we win all three we could be 4th.
