Had never been much of a fan of Wayne Carey, but he's slowly growing on me. On Tip a Winner on the AFL site, his bullish tip for the Swans to beat the Crows by a big margain, and the Pies to beat the Cats, nearly puts him into Penga lovechild status!!
Saying that, he's probably put the moz on us now.C'mon Chels!Comment

The Port Cheer Squad banner in the recent showdown:
CROWS FAN CHECKLIST:
CHARDONNAY
KNITTING NEEDLES
RULE BOOK
APRICOT SLICE
BANG ON FENCE
Maybe the Port fans need to get a load of this

I tell you, this Dees bloke has inspired me. I think at the Carlton game next week I might slip in a couple of nice 2005 & 2012
vintages in and toast yet another successful home-and-away season by our fine team with those around me from our lofty
perch in the Brewongle. By about halfway thru the second quarter we'll be about eight goals up, and it'll be time to kick back
a little before going into battle with Ticketek again the following week for finals tickets.

And managing to keep it up well into the second quarter. My excitement at seeing us in the top 4 last night was dampened when I checked out the remaining fixtures for Port and Richmond. If Port manage to get over the Dogs (and they're behind at half-time), its going to be a close call on percentage between us and them. Sure, we play Carlton next week but they play the Gold Coast.
All of that is irrelevant (in terms of top 4) if Richmond win both. And they should, though if one team is capable of losing to Freo it probably is the Tigers. I'd counted out the possibility of Geelong falling outside the top 4 but it's not a completely daft idea if the Pies manage to get over them. They play GWS next week, albeit at Simmonds.Comment

Port currently up by 1 point. They need to win by 8 points or more to go ahead of us on percentage.
It could well come down to whichever side can inflict the bigger flogging in the last round."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Always wanted Port to put the Dogs out and they have, the fairytale is over!
Pies keeping Cats honest, I'd like the upset there. Buckley must be firming to get another stint, very little in the next coach ranks for them and their second half of the season has been much better.
What a season, surprises every week and a constantly changing ladder, more snakes and ladders!Comment

It will. I'm actually glad Port won, it finally shuts the Dogs out of the finals race and shows them to be the pretenders they are......and were last year, until the AFL decided a 'fairytale' must be delivered.Comment

Shame Collingwood couldn't hold on but it was a good effort for them to get so close missing Grundy, Wells, Pendlebury and de Goey. Sure, the Cats were sans Selwood and Hawkins but that's a lot of class out of an already mediocre Pies team.Comment
