I'm conflicted......My youngest daughter, who is recovering from a serious accident at the moment, is a Tiger fan so I want to support her but on the other hand I really want the Crows to win in what would be a case of deserved 'good karma' after what they've been through recently and the fact they were the stand out team (until we pooped ourselves last week) for the entire home and away season. I used to hate Richmond with a passion when I was a kid but then softened during their years of constant failure but the unrelenting media and fan driven 'Tiger bandwagon' has me reaching for the vomit bag, a la the Doggies build up last year.....so I guess it's 'Go Crows'!

So despite your considerable passion, the Swans have never appealed to the youngun eh ?
She must be of strong independent character.

Whoever wins will have had a remarkable journey .

Go Crows, where I grew up.

I tried but she just wasn't into footy enough early on......it was a later boyfriend who had far too much influence over her! He's history now...... but unfortunately her Tiger love lingers.

(Documented in a book called "AFL Inc.") Never ever forget the predatory nature of the Richmond club and their famous club secretary who was famous for the brown paper bags he carried around (in a time where paying players was illegal)

They eventually got Pitura from us. He was average for them, however, and didn't play for that long. To secure him Richmond gave us Graham Teasdale who won a Brownlow, the late Brian Roberts who nearly won a Brownlow and Francis Jackson who was fantastic for us and played 100 games. Best trade ever!!

Nothing like a bit of history to cheer you up!

And I have a copy of AFL Inc. Engrossing reading.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Except pro wrestling has less contrived results.

Nobody bring up the Fields - Daniher trade please!

Speaking of Daniher, when Rampe was giving him a mouthful in the final I wondered whether he may have been saying "you could have been part of this instead of your discredited rabble."

The media coverage down here is exactly like last year. You wouldn't know that Adelaide are playing...apart from discussion about the way they stand during the national anthem.

I'm going to the grand final and I will definitely be supporting Adelaide. Although it didn't work in 2013 & 2015. (Or unfortunately in 2014 & 2016 ????).

I am going for the Tigers because my daughter barracks for them. What do people think SEN should talk about this week, the country finals or maybe the Mornington races. Fair dinkum, it is the grand final. I have heard plenty about Adelaide.

I thought they might be getting a bit carried away at Tigerland when I saw this on their website:

Top 10 Tiger Grand Final memories - richmondfc.com.au

Anyway, I thought I would put up my Top 10 Tiger Grand Final memories as well, just to get in the spirit. So here it is:

Those were the good old days!

                            I wasn't talking about SEN.

I always think of the day at Windy Hill when Nifty Nev thought he would give Normie Goss one behind play. Normie spent the best part of the quarter chasing him around the ground and finally got him later. Then Stewie Gull belted Ron Andrews which didn't have the effect it was meant to. Ronnie came out after half time and ripped us apart.
I think Nev came over after Norm went back to the Burough.

                              Ahh those were the days.

They were! I remember also watching VFA footy on Channel 0 (now 10). Talk about the biff! It was good open footy with no wings (16 per side) but was always a sideways glance away from all in! Entertaining stuff!
