NEAFL: Can Toby fill the void? - sydneyswans.com.au
Key defender Aliir Aliir chimed in when Cameron went down against GWS in Round 10, but even he's in doubt after pulling up sore during Saturday's win against Aspley. Aliir finished the game in Brisbane on crutches and with ice on his knee, a "minor injury" which Shaw and the medicos will assess later in the week.
Think he's unlikely to play this week, sadlyComment

Dawson for Jones
Melican for Marsh (stiff)
Hoping the see McVeigh run in some fitness in the NEAFL, if he is playing in the seniors he had better hope that he doesn't break down....Comment

Judging by what they said on the website, they seem much happier with Aliir now. Not sure what were the things he needed to work on, but he got a glowing report from T Harley. Could be a chance this or next week.Comment

Is this the same Talia that's out of contract at the end of this year and has played one game for the club, none this year?Comment

Aliir cleared, Macca in the mix - sydneyswans.com.au
Aliir Aliir?s been cleared of any major structural damage to the knee he injured in the NEAFL last weekend and is set to train with the main group on Wednesday.
Swans Head of Football Tom Harley said it?s a good outcome for the dashing defender.
?Aliir had a really strong game ? he?s had a really strong couple of weeks both on the track and in the NEAFL,? Harley said in this week?s HCF Injury Update.Comment

Would be pretty rough on Melican if Aliir gets brought in first. I think there's room for both as they're very different players

You might be right, but he won't come in so we'll never know!Comment

I think maybe Melican for Jones. Then Marsh takes Jones position because he is more defensive than our other half back flankers. And gives the defence a bit of continuity. Plus this week we have got three tall forwards and a few dangerous small forwards to worry about.
I think Towers might keep his spot over Dawson. Without Jones we have lost a bit of pace in midfield. So maybe useful to have towers closing down and chasing their midfielders and defenders.Comment
