Seemed to be matched to JPK most of the night. Had very little impact that's for sure.

I thought Reg was huge last night, Mills too.
Agree on all 3 pts, Mills a class above, Reg great when it counted, Towers broadly irrelevant.

It really is quite watchable isn't it!

I especially enjoy the shots of Longmire. I wish we could have a continuous feed of him from the time Papley smothers until the end of the game.

I know this is petty and inconsequential. I also realise I may have been deceived by camera angles.

          BUT...

When Gary Rohan takes "that mark", he's about 1 metre from the goal line. When he takes the kick, there are 3 Essendon players on the mark and all 3 of them are metres in front of where Rohan received the ball. Daniher is closer to the front edge of the square than he is to the goal line! Just wonder what would have happened if any of those players had touched or smothered Rohan's kick.

Noticed that as well Sandridge. Didn't bother me after goal was kicked!

Rampe on Daniher was incredible giving away 5 inches keeping him to just one goal another great job by Rampe.

Yes, that was bizarre, wasn't it? It left me wondering if there's a different rule for marks taken on the goal line? I'm fairly sure there isn't: so I don't know what was going through the minds of the umpires?

Can't quite remember the goal: was it from the soft free that he got in a marking contest with Rampe? Or was it from when he should have been pinged for holding the ball?

Turnover from a Lloyd kick. Short kick or hand ball from Zaharakis and a ping from 55m.

Happens all the time in field play. Players crib over the mark by a long way and umpires rarely pull them up for it.

I assume that it would have been given a 50m penalty had Rohan missed - or the ball was smothered.

I heard someone say the umpires blew the whistle for the infringement, but he kicked it anyway. If he had missed (and visions of Dunkley were flashing through my head) then it would have been 50m and a chance to retake the shot.

There is a twitter account that posts them @AFLPlayerRating. It wasn't me who posted them last week, btw. (I can't remember who it was, but that's how I got on to them. Props to you, whoever it was).

Can you believe it? When Hurley kicked a goal to put Bombers 17 in front I thought it's all over red rover. To win like that in the last few minutes was incredible. However, our goal kicking was terrible. We could have been miles ahead by that stage. Sam Reid will have to stay back after every training session to practice his kicking.
Again Gary kicked the winning goal. He's starting to string some games together now. I really hope he doesn't get injured again.
How good is Isaac Heeney! It seems like the world slows down when he has the ball. He's the blond version of Scott Pendlebury.
Even umpire Schmitt couldn't stop the Swannies winning.

Anyway the fact is WE WON!!! Doesn't matter how, we just did. Very excited about heading to the MCG on Friday which should be a cracker especially after last nights result over in WA for the Dees. This weekends games have been nuts - it's the Full moon I reckon!!????????
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
