Thought the same thing myself and thought if swans were playing that way the criticism would be deafening

I think all the last minute changes to the side was the biggest unsettling factor.

All the radio talk is how good Hawthorn were. No mention of our outs or game injuries, and we only lost by a goal.

And I suppose that there's not much talk, about their momentum changing goal actually being a behind?

Agreed. I can't believe we're talking about this.

Langford is an arrogant little flog but Macca shouldn't have reacted and given away a free. Someone of his experience should know better than that.

The umpiring at times wasn't great but it's not the reason we lost. Poor run from the back half. Very disorganised mid/hb line. And very bad going into the forward half. Bombed it long to 2 forwards that are not great contested marks. And both key forwards hardly led enough. Bad emergency selections imo Dawson & Aliir should have been the late ins. Ffs Dawson wasn't even named an emergency???? I would have liked to see Mills moved to the forward line. Takes a good contested mark and would provide a leading target. Was very good when moved forward as a junior. Time to move on to next week.

My understanding is that a 5 or 10m exclusion zone was introduced to stop clubs, especially Hawthorn, shepherding for their teammate allowing them to play on. The umpires just aren't enforcing it which is typical of the umpiring dept. Hawthorn did it several times on Friday night.

They've been doing it for years and there have been occasions where the umpire has called for the player to move away but it hasn't happened recently. But what annoyed me was the swans didn't wake up to it and negate it and it ended up costing us a goal ????.

I was at the Geelong v Carlton game last night and there were 3 or 4 "dangerous" tackles like the Heeney one but of course it was "play on". (As it should be by the way).

Also seen plenty of over the head handballs this round that haven't been penalised.

The dogs are good at the "flick" pass - it's not a hand ball at all and is an actual throw, but they are so bloody good at it, it rarely gets picked up. We need to get a few more tricks up our sleeves. I was actually yelling for the bombers today - coz now the dogs are in the 8 - the dogs bandwagon will hit the road and we won't hear the end of it. The upside though is we can go under the radar. But we need to choose players from the reserves more carefully to replace injured senior players. Sadly Foote and the other one (sorry can't remember his name) were somewhat star struck and did not fill the breach. We need to move on from this and look to next week - we can do this!!!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

If you think the bravedogs bandwagon is bad wait for the homecoming of Ablett next year. It'll be excruciatingly painful listening to the Melbourne media flogs cheering old Gazza to a premiership.

oh yeah - but is there enough room for the "three Iam ego's" Danger, Selwood and Ablett??

I'm just over the media looking for the "story" of the year. Supporters cgaff about other sides fairytales. Allow the season to unfold n the story will write itself. Honestly I hope GC play hard ball n it falls apart for Abletts homecoming. Imagine 360. It'll be a fuc..n nightmare to listen.
