Very poor taste comments by Beveridge about Langford's behaviour. I would go so far to say Mclachlan should reprimand him.

"They might have relationship, (but) Jarrad is married, isn't he?" Beveridge said.

"Maybe Will has got a crush on Jarrad, (or) maybe it's just passion and he loves him, and just wanted to make a play.

"I'm sure Jarrad pushed him away, and I don't think Jarrad's wife would be too jealous.

"Will is a pretty good looking young man, isn't he?"

Seriously? Has Australia gotten so SJW that they can't even joke about it a ridiculous display? It was a punk move but all you can do is laught it off at the end of the day...I am sure Hodge will let him know that it was not a cool way to act...the players do police their own on that sort of thing...

I haven't seen much of the Reserves games, but from the reports you other guys are giving, surely this was an opportunity to test out Jordan Dawson. Maybe someone on the Match Committee said, Put down Jordan Dawson, and the person writing the list wrote down Jordan Foote.

Two losses against Hawthorn this year when we've been without Jake Lloyd (for all but the first minute of the game the first time around). I'm not seriously suggesting that's been the crucial factor, but it does give us a chance to reflect on how important a player he has become for us. His steady improvement over the last few years has been outstanding. With his basketball background he's got a great sense of what's happening around him and I love his ability to find space simply by weaving about on the same spot.

I will second that opinion on MattW's post. Foote is an embarrassing AFL footballer and guys like Dawson and Aliir cannot get a game. beyond belief. Also Rampe can no longer mark a football?? drops two easy marks which resulted in off the ground goals to Hawthorn players sitting in the goal square.

I agree that someone senior at Hawthorn should make sure Langford's behaviour is not repeated. But Beveridge's comments are not funny, in fact they are very distasteful.

                  Yeah, that's true.

My guess is Hodge and senior management will have the young lad call Jarrad and apologize privately. These guys are often friends off the field and they will not like the disrespect shown to a well respected veteran. That said, I have no problem with other coaches and commentators making light of it...it's usually best to laugh it off and move on. I am sure it is the last thing on the Swans' minds at this point.

The making light of it is the bit I disagree with. A brief comment along the lines that Langford's behaviour is not what we want to see during AFL games - and then move on would be appropriate.

Now it's being portrayed as Jarrad not being able to take a 'joke'. We've heard that line before.

Perhaps he was a guest of the club. I've seen him in Adelaide at their games.. damn must be cosying up to ensure they win the flag.

Seen him at Collingwood games too... must be cosying up to ensure they the flag too.

I pretty sure AD and probably Gill have been guests at Sydney as well.

I really don't give a stuff where he sits, he didn't have any influence on the game.

Comments like that are disgraceful in my opinion from Beveridge - really, really poor taste. But they won't do anything to last years darling love child....

Meanwhile we just get consistently told to 'put up and shut up'.

Beverage's comments are ill advised but I think they are just a poor attempt at humour

Seriously do we really want to have a game where kissing other players on the field to get under their skin is acceptable. Will the Hawks stoop that low. A quick statement that it is disrespectful and that any future behaviour will be penalised and before the tribunal is required. I know it seems excessive to go to tribunal but it is really a pretty personal incvasion of a person's personal space.

What a complete prat Langford is, he is barely a senior player and he thinks he can go around kissing a 300 gamer, how on earth can Clarko justify this?

Also, did anyone else see how they crowd and bump the player on the mark, surely that isn't in the spirit of the game either?
