Starting to get sick of these games too. Our engine room shuts down, we can't lock the ball into our forward line or stick any tackles. And look incapable of achieving anything going into our forward line.

      Time for big changes.

Longmire goes or a number of players.

My view is Longmire, the talent is there is needs to be sharpened and focused. A new start is needed for this group, with Longmire as coach we are carrying too much baggage.

Did you hold the same views when we were winning ????

        114-45 marks.
        431-311 disposals

        Intensity just not there tonight.

Dangerfield got some rubbish frees but no doubt he blew the game open early. Their forward structure was good - we couldn't keep it inside 50. Anytime we bombed it forward they marked it.

Wet weather was never a good thing for us but hard to explain why our miss were so far off the mark.

There will be plenty of teams lining up to sign Longmire. Only worth sacking someone if there's a replacement.

We were simply terrible - can't blame coach all the time.

The silver lining is that we can't blame the umpires for stealing a flag from us this year.

Ahhh, the 7 stages of grief....I've experienced the first three already but the rest may take much longer...... it is going to be a long summer.

Why all the negative comments. Yes it was a stinker tonight but who would have thought that after a 0 and 6 start that we would be in the finals. I am truly proud of what the team has achieved and am looking forward to next year. They went 15 wins and 2 losses until tonight. Lets toast this and not the shocker of tonight. We can all agree that they were outplayed and out coached. They will come back better and stronger. Cheer cheer our great team.

This loss had very little to do with coaching and / or selection. Application and skill execution is what destroyed us. Geelong took twice as many marks; a complete contrast to last week.

This season brought a lot of joy. Shame it had to end in this manner.

Fully agree, we have been very buoyant in recent times.

Just had another collective shocker. It hurts but these things happen, just too often in finals :-(

Think we need to fiddle with the line up next year, not sure who goes out but we must give Dawson a good run, Aliir needs to come back in, Mills to be released into the midfield, Hayward should be much better again next year, Florent might need another year.

Huge effort to come from 0-6.

Yeah, the Richmond bandwagon and Vic media can ramp up their fairytale to the max now for all I care. If it could get any more frenzied than it is now that is.

There was only 1 selection issue; were we going to stick with last week's side or bring in Melican for Cunningham. I would have gone with Melican, but it would have had no impact on the result. It was likely that Melican would have played just as poorly as the rest of the team. Why should he be the exception? We just didn't lose. We were absolutely and comprehensively smashed. When a team loses this badly, there's nothing to analyze. We played like a bottom six team. We probably would have lost to Brisbane.

What was that! Worst game since 1994. Hard to comprehend. Some serious weaknesses exposed. Some very, very dumb footy. Completely out played. Did they all have the flu.
