Has anyone yet answered my question about which 2019 2nd round pick we traded out to West Coast? Ours or the Saints?

I'd be pretty happy if all the non-Vic clubs banded together and looked after each other's interests to some degree (utopian idealism I know!) The exception would be GWS of course - they're scum.Comment

Just heard the previous pick compared to Will Hayward. Interesting that Will had reached that level, usually the yardstick is some 200 gamerBefore you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.Comment

Great stuff. If you look at the pick we effectively gamed by using later picks for Blakey, it's a fairly big win.
My only concern would be innuendo of collusion with West Coast. Not sure where the line is crossed into draft tampering.
Biggest problem is that it really doesn't matter whether we have acted properly or not, the AFL is likely to penalise us for being smart.
Didn't we bring in some super statistician from the Bulldogs? May have been a great move...The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Adelaide has done well there. Give up pick 19 and 2019 first for Carlton's 2019 first which will probably be pick 2 or 3.Comment

Wow. Carlton trade next years first for pick 19 to get Liam Stocker. They must love him because they'll probably finish in the bottom 6.Comment

Our next pick is only 6 away with Collier-Dawkins still on the board. Does he make it or can we trade up?Comment

To be honest, I expect what we did may well be outlawed (the question being how precisely do you enforce it) - but I don't think its draft tampering. After all, we had to take the risk West Coast would follow through on the agreement, and they were individual trades in their own right.....Great stuff.
