Yes they have some versatility, but in particular Paps and Ronke are far more useful as forwards then midfielders at this stage.

Too often what them being drawn into the midfield meant was that our forward line basically became Buddy and that was it. We need far better structures up forward - especially if our tactics are to remain primarily to bomb it anywhere then look for shorter options.
Papley has been spending a bit of time at centre bounces, and he's not too bad considering his age. He's quick and quite strong for his height.

When the opposition's backmen push up the ground, our forwards have to go with them. The forwards take up the usual defensive zoning and have to go where the ball goes, else we will be outnumbered trying to defend our goal.

We need to do a better job coordinating our rebound as far as which forwards stay in the midfield to help transition the ball and which ones dart forward ahead of the play. It's one of the poorer parts of our game and why we so often blindly kick the back to opposition defenders.

Yeh I get that, but you can also go some degree to forcing their defenders to be more accountable as well by maintaining more of a forward structure than we do - especially as so often the opposition had the luxury of 1, sometimes even 2 loose men to play int he space around Franklin.

Papley has done alright in there, but I still think he is a far better forward and more important to the team in that role.

Changed my mind on Rohan get him a tank and play him Mid Back swapping with Rampe as a sweeper
We are begging for speed and have the perfect sized quickest player in the game playing 2s

Maybe our coach can use a brain cell and put Jones in there???

          Something different, and may work.

Parker and Kennedy don't have the speed for the modern game, put them in the forward line.

Yes heresy, but let face it, the team structure at the moment won't make the finals, let alone a premiership.

Lets at least try something new!

How frustrated must Buddy be with our delivery to him?

He ain't ever going to get a tank if he hasn't got it now. He ain't 21 and still developing.

Without Parker and Kennedy in the middle, we would have next to no hope of winning any ball in the centre of the ground. While Kennedy was a bit down on output, neither he nor Parker were the source of our midfield problem. Its the rest of the midfield group where we need to change things up - and I agree Jones in there is an option worth looking at, as is potentially Rampe, and of course Mills.

Optimistic about Rohan having a tank
Reminds me of Darling at west coast put the acid on him and he finally came good after 9 yrs

No point having a quick forward like Rohan (or any fwd) on the lead if we cant get it there

Him in the guts for a year has to be more fruitful then a kid in the guts

9yrs before a midfield birth seems about right for Rohan if Horse is making Heeney Mills and Jones wait 3yrs +

I am not sure what sort of money Rohan is on, but our team needs some leg speed. The club can keep him, or he can decide to stay (as a contract is already in place), but it is such a pity we have not found a way for this to work more consistently.

If he left we would then be chasing another player to fill that spot (assuming he has a spot in the team when fit). I’d be sad to see him go - and also sad to see him linger in the NEAFL side due to poor senior form.

Could see him being a key player at another club if used properly

                      I hope he stays

A good point in that he wouldnt be breaking the bank, at best we get a 3rd round pick.
                        Perfect specimen for a midfielder
                        Ramps Rohan Mid Back
                        Parks Kennedy Mid Fwd
                        Mill Jones Heeney Mids

The others are all midgets and not full time mids at best Hayward Ollie are good wingers

That looks pretty definitive. Why did anyone double Caroline Wilson? Very mixed emotions. The article doesn't give a reason why he wants out.

If he doesn't have a tank now he never will. Some people just don't have the genetics for the aerobic capacity required to play as a midfielder.

If: Rival clubs know one thing about Hannebery ...

Then: It is that he is contracted to the end of 2021. But some have already asked the question, and others will do so in the off-season. There's something strange going on here.
Damian 'Slugworth' Barrett did our dirtywork - for better or for worse. The strange is yet to come.

IF Hannebery is traded THEN Franklin will never reach 1000 goals.
