Not happy that Hanners has said that it's Saints or nothing (as Mitchell did). Players need to be fair and give us at least a couple of options to help us negotiate.

If we do have a big recruit waiting to happen, but requiring the Hanners trade to free up the cap space, it would absolutely imperative not to let it leak out and give the Saints a better bargaining position. Just speculation because it's about not hearing any news, but there could be a good reason why. If we can keep the lid on what our trade plans are until trade week, St Kilda will be too far down the track to walk back the trade. It would be a catastrophe for them if it fell through. I think it's a done deal.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Not that I need to explain myself to you... I'd heard it because he'd just introduced me to his parents and it said it after I thanked them for lending us their son.

            Albeit a reserve.
            Shades of ROK.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I’m ok if history repeats itself. We won flag after RO’K stayed

I have been reading this thread over the past few days and listening to SEN. I have no doubt the Hanners deal is well down the track, but they way I hear it is that is there going to be so many platers around the $800k mark. Are any clubs that are going to develop there own players any more. It appears to me that sooner or later the player pay bubble must burst. I heard on radio that Tippett is still in our 2019 cap.

I still find it hard to believe bit I will take your word on it. Oh, and I was 'over myself' a long time ago.....forced to be through sheer adversity but that's another story.

I just watched some highlights from the Hannebery interview on AFL Trade Radio, which were just broadcast on AFL Tonight. You couldn’t really ask for any more than than how he performed. I think some of the quotes noted above may have been a bit jumbled or taken out of context.

The “something brewing” comment actually seemed like he was intimating that the Swans were looking to do something big in a trade (but he said he didn’t know). He also said the players leaving was a coincidence and that he didn’t know why, all of a sudden, there were more moves than previously.

He spoke like a true Swans clubman (even if wanting to leave).

No problems with anything Hannebery said. Sounds genuine enough to me.
No problems with Harley as yet. Seems to be doing a good job.

Well I was never impressed with Harley's injury reports. Only top two or three players were ever covered and as far as he was concerned players in the NEAFL did not exist.

I’m hanging out for Jake Lloyd to announce he is staying. I thought that Hanners spoke very diplomatically today. No issues with him. It will be interesting to see what evolves with Moore in coming weeks.
