    From Matt Balmer:

Sydney list manager Kinnear Beatson speaks of the Swans' intention to try and trade back into the draft with all their future picks. Swans have a 1x 2019 1st rd, 2x 2019 2nd rd, 2x 2019 3rd rd, 2x 2019 4th rd & 1x 2019 5th round. Will get creative tomorrow

I get that, but why trade out a fairly early rd 2 pick for what could be a very late 3rd rd pick. Seems a big price to pay unless there is further horse trading to come.

Presumably they’ll make a small profit. Need to wait and see what goes down.

If it was the tax office there would be provisions again at it.

Surely the 1st round pick won't be on the table, but the others should all be on the table if wanted. Interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

                Makes sense now. Clever

There's got to be more to this trade, we've done something cunning but what is it, you don't give 26 in a super draft for a mid 50s pick next year .....,

24,39,47 + Blakey looks like a pretty decent haul for mine. Might even find our way up the ladder a bit with some more horse trading tomorrow.

Good stuff team on 1st impressions.

It half makes sense. Not sure we got a great return. Wonder if it was WC’s own future 3rd round pick we traded for? Or did they hold one relating to a crappier side?

We ultimately gave up 26 plus next years 2nd rounder for 24 this year plus a 3rd rounder next year, plus I assume there are some points implications for how much our other picks slid.

So what was the swap of picks? Did we give up 26 and next years third rounder for pick 24?

Someone that sits down and works out the points implications can give the best indication of where it sits. We've given a little bit up for next year, but might feel some horse trading tomorrow can make up a bit of the gap. Seems okay overall to me, but I'm not learned enough about how all the points pull together to judge it on that basis.

Clubs making NGA holders pay for their players, Norf and Pies not happy, they're burning more of their late picks than they wanted to, will go into deficit for Bailey Scott and Kelly - nice :-)
