2018 trading, drafting and list management: players and personnel
It's got to have something to do with Blakey not going in the first 6.
You would assume there is a 3rd part to the trade - well you would hope or we seem to be getting jipped badly.

This is on fox footy as a suggestion:
With Nick Blakey's bid not coming in the top 6, Sydney trade out Pick 26 to West Coast. Future 3rd round pick comes back which could be as far back as pick 54 in 2019. Interesting. Pick 33, 38, 39 will be enough to match him. Pick 26 was going to be wiped anyway. @FOXFootyLive
Seems odd we would trade out that pick for a future 3rd rounder, even if its going to be burnt in the Blakey trade. Now we will see those 3 picks burnt up to some degree as well... there must be a logic somewhere, but I can't quite see it yet.

It still doesn’t make sense , why offload it and use the other picks to match him when they could’ve been live picks ?
